Finally, I can now see the appeal of the Galaxy Fold. Throw in IP68 rating as well, and I would definitely buy one.

Samsung needs to understand that they have to make their phones more durable also
IP 68 and MILTD 810 G should be made as a minimum quality standard by governments / industry bodies across the world ... Just like seat belts and airbags in Cars are compulsory now .

Can't people fold it open fully and use back cam as camera and front screen as viewfinder?
Also, if they're really worried about holding the phone in that position, why not put all the camera hardware on front screen? Heck I could even imagine it being as kickstand video conferencing mode, when your hands get tired of holding such a heavy phone for so long.

AnonD-843592, 18 Feb 2020Sadly all of these great specs won't matter if the screen is made of fragile plastic once again. Take a moment. Use your phone like you normally did. Did you press really hard on the screen with your fingernail or use a sharp object at the screen? And when the phone is dropped, glass breaks not plastic. So which is more fragile?

wow that would make it my choice of phone as I will not downgrade to any phone with an S-pen even the s20 ultra does not tickle my interest.
however the price .... I do not have that many kidneys to sell sammy !

If you completely remove the bezels, you're getting a screen slightly under 7.5 inches so it sounds like the front screen will benefit from a width increase. I hope they find a way to make the phone slimmer in both forms.

To be honest, I do wish the Fold 2 would borrow the S20 Ultra's camera setup with 108 megapixels, 4K 60fps & 8K 24fps, but I imagine a separate version of that same fold, but it would be a tad more expensive to make and sell it.
