I'm currently using the P30 Pro it is amazing and I only pay $680 and it feeling and performs like an $1000 phone. More competition means better products. So don't ban Huawei.

Washington Post just reported that US has been controlling a company in Switzerland that manufacturers communication equipment to spy on over 120 countries.

I find it fair - if I create the tools to make something, I should choose who is going to benefit from using those tools.

And because Huawoi is in the wrong and has ties to the CN global surveillance program, it is only fair that US doesn't allow them to use the tools they created to make more of those spying devices. CN is not to be trusted.

border amnesia? would say its way worse than what they banned huawei for. Feels like they go from s to m (from s&m).

American,Huawei devices are almost non-existent here..I use a Mate 20 X and just recommended a Family member a P30 Pro.I'm clearly not a hater but you people(fanbase)..the proof of spying weren't presented to you..you may not believe it but you certainly couldn't know and it won't even be totally out of place because you know it's China. We can all agree these bans are harse..

In a world where Mr. Sowden's awakenings exist, these accusations against Huawei from the US are hilarious. This does not call into question the need for the urgent fight against the mass surveillance, facial recognition or systematic registration that STASI dreamed of in East Germany and that are being implemented in states that claim to be democracies.

At least US has made their motives clearer. Previously they were using "espionage" narrative to restrict usage of Huawei network equipment. Now they've made it clear they just want to hurt the company for political reasons.

Right now it's Huawei, next it could be any other Chinese company. The Chinese coalition needs to develop their own chip & OS to be fully unchained from US politics.

The US have lost so much credibility under Bush Jr, Obama, and Trump it’s now just the kid with the biggest arms and no pretense of being better.
