My P30 is still on EMUI 9 but right now I have no problem with it whatsoever. All apps run in the background perfectly fine and notifications come through just like they do on my S10. Good navigation gestures and lots of useful features as well, absolutely nothing to hate on.

Thanks for your info. I had no idea there was a YouTube called YouTube Vanced until I saw your comment. I checked out the official website just now. It seems like a cool tool. Do you notice any drawbacks like more power consumption or anything of the sort because I know sometimes 3rd party stuff can have a different impact on devices in comparison to the original version of a program.

The only thing that bothers me on the Pro & Premium version are those quad curve screen & pill shape front camera. Though vanilla P40 front camera remains a mystery, leak suggest there is no holes or notches, just full screen.
Rear camera setup? Its quality gonna be incredible for sure. So far the specs looks promising. But i'll wait for next Mate 40 as my Mate 20 replacement.

It is actually 10x better than the regular Youtube app. It is so much better in fact, that i stopped using regular Youtube years ago. The Vanced one has no ads, a true black OLED-friendly theme (unlike the grey crap that Youtube's official app gives you), swipe controls for brightness & volume, and other toggles to customize your experience. It is amazing. Give it a try if you haven't already.

I will ignore Google services for cheaper price.
I feel that Huawei phones will now go in the same direction as the Essential phone in the Western markets. They need to give incentive for people like me to buy their phones, for me it's $ > Google services.
