Anonymous, 23 Feb 2020Redmi K30 Pro 5G, based on SD865, will come with a pop-up camera for Selfie. That's a great news ! Sadly it won't feature any 3D facial recognition AFAIK, that's sad because this is one of the biggest advantage of the pop up, being able to put lots of sensors without taking screen space, and the more sensors, the less relative size is wasted by the mechanism, but it's nice to see that 2020's flagship didn't abandoned the pop up !
Shame on Oppo for that.
Anonymous, 19 Feb 2020Of course leaks are on purpose. How can youtuber have access to prototype many weeks before ... moreYeah, but I mean, all those "oops an employee took a picture", "oops an online store accidently leaked the specs" and such, I wonder how many are just accidents or employee really doing that by accident or or other compared to how many are clearly the will of the company that want them to look like accidents on purpose.
Jojo, 19 Feb 2020I know right. No one wants a punch hole or notch front camera. Under screen or pop up at very ... more100% correct - I bought the K20 right because of that. K30 comes with punchhole - thanks but no thanks.
I did not get the findX because it was hard to get in Europe, if there was a retailer anywhere I would surely have bought it. honestly just jerryrigeverything who showed how easily it can be broken in half prevented me from importing it from overseas.
Sounds very underwhelming considering how crazy the design of the original Find X was when it came out, looks more like a revised Find X that took too long

How can youtuber have access to prototype many weeks before rhe announcement?
Remember pixel 3 making tour around Russia few months before its event?
lol, 19 Feb 2020wtf every phone this year punch hole .... trash trash trashI know right. No one wants a punch hole or notch front camera. Under screen or pop up at very least. Why do you think the K20, Findx and OP 7 pro sold so good? Because it was full screen and now all of them put the notch back. WTF?
I always wondered if those "accidental" leaks are actually accidental at all, seem like a good way to push specs and others news without requiring any ads campaign since news websites will always relay the informations, so free ads/visibility for almost no efforts which is also a good promotion for the store itself.
Mostly now with the
MWC cancelled, it is a good moment to stick out and have a small "buzz" going on, that or the shop just have absolutely no official informations and just wanted to get some attention...
Anyway based on those specs and what we already know, the Find X2 is really disappointing on a lot of things, no motorised camera, punch hole, no advanced/secure facial recognition (they can say "3D" all they want, but a SINGLE CAMERA won't ever be enough), no Wi-Fi 6E support, probably no WPA-3 support either, way too expensive (they didn't learned the lesson from the original one), proprietary charging tech which probably mean no fast recharge using Quick Charge and maybe not even USB-PD as the OnePlus who don't even enable fast charge if either the charger or the cable is not used...
The camera are probably great, but I think they overdid them, mostly the 60x zoom which is way too much and since it is hybrid it will anyway have poor quality making shots where we can't zoom in unlike pure optical zoom...
It won't even surprise me if rather than the large surface two finger fingerprint reader that allow the SN865 they'll use, they kept the single finger one only available on a single area...Or even worse, do the stupid Google thing and remove it all together...
It look like while the Find X2 could have been a totally unique smartphone way ahead and different from the rest, it will just be "another" smartphone that basically have the same characteristics of the others, just with a slightly better camera that have some overdone specs that might not even hold up to their promises, a supposedly incredible display that just is a high end one but totally onpart with what other do, and a huge price tag...
Since they originally had RND for underdisplay camera and then had to revert back to punch hole, it won't even surprise me if this is indeed the final price as they probably spent too much, if they simply kept the amazing motorised pop up camera, made it waterproof (which is actually surprisingly easy) and made a double or triple mechanical redundancy system for those who still believe that there is so much wear it won't last a week, they would have made a hell of a smartphone without spending too much, kept the legacy of the original one and made an actually great smartphone, same for the stupid curved edge display, if they simply used a flat one, as customers actually want and as it is actually easier and cheaper to produce, they would have made an amazing device, but here they punished themselves with their stupid choices just because it's "trending" and some clueless marketing analytics say that's what peoples want and that's what news articles say, without actually reading a single thing customers say about that, that's Karma in its full glory !
It seems they put on the price of find X Lamborghini edition and picture of regular find x
