How to damage a brand (Xperia). The L1 was not so good, the L2 was even worse, the L3 was catastrophic ... Seriously, a 6.2-inch 21:9 HD+ LCD? On an iPhone 9 of 4.7 inches why not but for this diagonal it's a crazy choice. No one will buy this in front of Xiaomi or Oppo, it's a pure waste of time, energy and money, well done Sony. A mention in the notch to cut yourself off from the brand's latest customers?

What is the use of 21:9 ratio? Is it cellphone or tv remote? 16:9 was best & 18:9 ok bt now days cellphones becoming remote shape. I really dont like taller phones.

Euww. This is the first time I would say ugly to a Sony phone. Please dont do it to the flagship, Sony.
And whats with that dated SOC & the rest of the specs? Its an entry level phone, but i can bet its price will be the same as Redmi & Realme midranger phones, which at least has decent SOC, 4gb of ram & way bigger battery.

Really: don't buy any android phone with less than 4GB RAM. Even the lowest end phone should have 4GB RAM right now, and even 4GB lag during normal usage (had the pixel 3 and moto zoom, both lagged while having better specs overall). Also, having a chin larger than the notch...thats horrible design.

Sony has best battery optimisation of all android OEMs.
Their phones have same battery life as others wit 30-50% larger nominated capacities.
Yes, bigger battery is always a better to have, but it is not biggest problem on any of Sony's smartphones.
I would rather ask a question: "why MTK, Sony, why MTK???"
And 2 years old chip, that is...
