I think it make sense. If you looking for a iPhone you go to Apples website, not for another one just for the phones.
Now you see the Sony phones with the other Sony products like their TV.s

Xperia fans will continue to be in denial, despite all that's happening. I really am hoping for Sony Mobile to recover together with other OEMs that were hurt by the marketing attack modeled after Samsung's strategy of flooding the market with different models and iterations. Even Samsung is not so sure of its position at the moment and will have to drastically match the pricing of its Chinese competitors the soonest time possible. If nobody can compete, then all these non-Chinese brands will perish.

Other than that, everything else about an Xperia phone is inferior. Price, specs, camera performance, design, after-sales support.
There's a reason why sales of Xperia phones nosedived since 2014, and it's not due to a 'lack of marketing'. The 'lack of marketing' is the consequence of poor sales, not the cause.

Case in point: the much-touted 'closer collaboration' with the Sony Alpha camera team didn't improve the camera performance much on the Xperia 1 and 5 phones of 2019.
Other brands of phones using the same Sony camera sensors take better photos than Sony Xperia phones themselves. Think about that for a moment.

Before I dumped sony, it was a pain having to deal with their companion of program, and whenever I had a problem, nothing could be solved on their forums. They were worse than Asus in terms of technical support for phones.
Will the site merge solve this? I doubt it.

Today it's a high end player for Hi Fi headphones, back then it was "just" a good music player. Believe me bro, in the audiophile world is where companies make REAL money.
