He loves blabbering about how s10 or Samsung and exynos in general are bad while praising iPhone and realme X2 pro.
I'mPhone, 21 Feb 2020Specs seem to be a follow-up on the ROG Phone 2, except charging solution. However, ROG Phone ... moreROG phone has better servicability (aftermarket sales) because they have repair center available, unlike blackshark or redmagic you have to send back whenever you need to repair ,Plus ROG 2 got more software optimisation than previous one.
If gaming phone is obsolete, so why they pushed out their successor? ROG 2, Redmagic 3, Blackshark 3 etc? That means gaming phone has their own market. If you prefer x50 pro or mi10, then gaming phone is not for you, simple, no need to put your subjective opinion into it, there are still lots of people who prefer gaming phone than your preference.

Gaming phones are better for a number of reasons.
1. Serious cooling
2. Superior optimization. More than the conventional handset.
3. Touch latency. 240hz
4. 4D touch technology.
5. Air triggers.
6. Precise & accurate touch technology.
7. Less finger movement needed as the algorithms are different.
I have a gaming phone. And compared to my conventional handsets... The gaming phones are way more superior.
Your better off with a gaming phone. Don't get me wrong, the mi 10 etc are great phones.
But if your serious about gaming. Then consider a 2020 865 powered gaming handset... If your a true gamer. You won't regret it...
But if your a casual gamer the conventional handset is adequate.
But be warned... Gaming phones are superior. They offer even more tech on the screen than the traditional handset.
They are more technical. Until you try a gaming phone. Then you will immediately realize the difference.
IpsDisplay, 21 Feb 2020Why not try red magic series?I have red magic 3s.
I prefer this over the rog 2.
Some sites somehow make out that the red magic has slightly better performance than the rog 2.
After reading the negative comments about the red magic. I am very pleased to tell you that the red magic is actually a great phone.
Everything about it is great. Even the camera is impressive for what it is. Especially the night shots.
And as for the ROM. It's fine. At least mine is. There is a bug here and there. But trivial. And other apps tend to conceal some bugs.
Best phone I have had in a long time.
Can't stop gaming on the thing. Insane performance. Makes most iPhone 11 users cringe.

AnonD-914486, 21 Feb 2020ROG phones are an uglier and more expensive versions of Black Shark ones... Asus just copy Xia... moreI guess the accessories (useful or not) are a Black Shark copy as well then... The design has nothing to do with their ROG products either. If we stress who did it first, Black Shark would have copied Razer as it is a gaming phone, which I don't say it has, and every smartphone with a touchscreen has copied Lg Prada. I had called you reasonable, it seems (not that I am the one to judge) you might get a bit over-supportive of Xiaomi sometimes, either due to value to money ratio (which could be on point if it is about processing power) or how informed you are about product development. It is normal for manufacturers to adapt to what the competition offers, it wouldn't be a competitve market otherwise, but we wouldn't call it copying before it is a gaming phone released later. You wouldn't expect Asus to have developed the original ROG phone in 2 months (between the phones announcements) or from when they first got aware of it. Companies don't develop products on the fly between releases. There is way more planning ahead for various reasons, but I won't go into details not to make this comment even longer, after your (genuinely friendly) commenting of my last long one directed at you. Ask me if you want me to elaborate on that or express my opinion about ROG Phones' selling points for some people.
Kendra Shields, 21 Feb 2020Because ROG 3 will have much much better specs than Black Tuna 3.ROG phones are an uglier and more expensive versions of Black Shark ones... Asus just copy Xiaomi because they entered in the gaming smartphone business half an year after Xiaomi already did it - when Xiaomi already have been realised Black Shark and at the same time of realising Black Shark Helo...
Asus Rog Phone is a bad copy of Xiaomi Black Shark Helo
Asus Rog Phone 2 is a bad copy of Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro
Asus Rog Phone 3 will be a bad copy of Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro
I own a Black Shark 1 and I have to say, software is very buggy, the ram management is terrible (worst I ever see) and you have no support at all from what they call Black Shark Team. And from Xiaomi, total lack of support also, it's like Black Shark series does not belong to them, not even in foruns you can get some help. Camera is good only because I use gcam. Also a lot of common apps are not compatible with, like Netflix
If you look to the specs and price, there is not doubt the Black Shark series are the budget with flagship hardware. People that say Xiaomi is good for updates on the Black Shark, are you serious? This is a joke! Only when Android 10 was realeased they updated the BS to Android 9 e they promised Android 10 for it between 2019 November and December... We are about to be on March and no word from them yet. And that's the same for monthly security updates.
Maybe when Android 11 is released we can see the light for Android 10 here
I'm really in the hope that JoyUi 11 can fix the several bugs the current sw has...
And before anyones says, no, I'm not in the global rom, I'm using China rom which receives "better support"
In my experience with Black Shark (not only mine since I talk to a lot of other people in foruns and Facebook groups that has it), you get the very best of hardware along the very worst of software, worth it? NO!
Now I'm about to get a new phone, I'd like to for Rog Phone 2 since I play a lot, but the price tag is still very very high for it (12gb/512gb), so I'm considering to get Zenfone 6 (8gb/256gb), but still looking for something good for my needs, maybe if JoyUi 11 is released for it and fix things I can wait more and get some phone with SDM 865 after the first wave
But what I do most that is playing CoD Mobile, I just can't do it in a good way because BS keeps freezing because of the very bad ram managment, so I have to close and reopen the app after every battle royale match, whats makes no sense, since it is a gamer phone ¬¬'
tehyadro, 21 Feb 2020Because of 240hz display? Gaming on a phone in my opinion is a bad idea. Oh the neck pain... moreAlso because you can avoid neck pains by getting your own biological cervical vertebrae exchanged with robotic, metal vertebrae which are much more durable for gaming. My advice is to get the entire spine changed into a robotic/cyborg spine.
Whackcar, 21 Feb 2020Rog 2 already has most of the "new" features Black Tuna 3 is promising. Rog 3 is gonna eat it ... more"Rog 2 already has most of the "new" features Black Tuna 3 is promising. Rog 3 is gonna eat it for lunch.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2020Yea, and it will have by far the worst software support of all those brands. The moment they ... moreI have a Black Shark 2, software dev was being handled by Black Shark team (it's a separate company, Xiaomi owns majority share), now software is handled by the team behind MIUI in colab with Black Shark. I currently have JoyUI 11 based on MIUI 11 over Android 10.
Nonsense poll, of course people would choose the highest choice. And there's no way the higher charging wattage would give the higher cycle.
Every flagship in 2020 should come with minimum 5000mAh battery.
I am pretty sure the usual suspects like Pixel, IPhone, OnePlus will be so generous with the battery capacity.
Specs seem to be a follow-up on the ROG Phone 2, except charging solution. However, ROG Phone 2 has very limited software support and poor servicability (and maybe, reliability, as ROG Phone 1 has many issues). The ROG Phone 2, however, have better cameras, audio, and materials.
However, to me gaming phones are quite obsolette. There are only very few games that are of competitive nature, specs-demanding, or not pay-to-win. It's not really the time for a gaming phone. Would rather buy the upcoming realme X50 Pro or Mi 10 over the BS3 or even ROG Phone 3. Both the realme and Mi 10 seems to perform exceptionally in games anyway.
