The "pro" version already sounds like budget earphones.
What a fake company.

Not the easiest to replace but possible, just like Sony. You can buy them anywhere (Varta batteries for the Buds). That also falls in the category of repairability. Other than the batteries there isn't alot to break over the years anyways. The cells cost 29 dollars on ifixit but you can probably get them cheaper. I'm not going to pay another 150 bucks for bluetooth headphones after the batteries deplete.

AnonD-908380, 21 Feb 2020Didn't say that but ok. Sony and Samsung have repairable ones. Should make you think. But are they really? One thing is sayig "it's repairable" and another actually being worth repairing. My AirPods 2 were 150€. Spending anything around or over 50€ to repair almost doesn't sound economical as they get old. And no service will even look at any device for under 20€. Just look at it and figure out what's wrong. Then it's parts and work and I don't think it's even worth repairing.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2020With even worse audio quality?Making things up? AirPods were never praised for ultimate sound quality, but were never rated as bad either. In fact the AirPods 2 that I have (I hate these silicone tipped earphones) sound way better than any other earphones and I've had stuff from Sony, Creative, AKG and Sennheiser. Especially bass is so amazing (smooth, deep but not overwhelming), I regularly use them for late evening gaming on PC. Bought USB BT adapter for them and actually use them on PC's and laptops with Windows more than ever on any Apple device. AirPods Pro were always praised by being even better than AirPods 2 due to better sealing inside ear.

Are we forgetting what budget means anymore? Even if they are cheaper. That doesn't mean they are budget. It means they are less expensive. Budget would be making them so affordable most wouldn't have to save up money to buy them.
