If a smartphone is the jack of all trades, it should not miss ANYTHING. Especially since LG keeps all the IP certifications with the jack with a big battery (upcoming LG V60), there's no excuse to leave it out.

If you really care about latency and good sound then there's special pocket size players you can buy.

2nd of all: as a metalhead who occasionally watches videos, I don't care for 3 things about Bluetooth: Latency (videos not syncing with the audio), needing to charge ANOTHER device, and using a dongle to abuse the Type-C port. Until Bluetooth has ZERO latency, has a battery that lasts 8 hours on a single charge and charges within 10-15 minutes, and has as powerful of audio quality as headphones through a DAC, we need that 3.5mm jack.
You annoyed? Buy into the brands telling you less for more is better.

But always funny to read comments - no jack, no buy. And I honestly don't understand those people. Why do they need more wires around their body? It's annoying
Five plus years and I'm still waiting for a good compact smartphone... That means less than 5", waaay less than that.
VectorR, 23 Feb 2020This is what I'm thinking about too :). Just please, Sony, make the price right!XZ2 Premium was $1000.
1 was $945
I do not expect to be more than $1000.
Which is cheaper than S20 8/256.

Would like to have the latest Xperia from Sony but Sony Mobile is no longer available in the Philippines. I’ll wait for the iPhone 9/ iPhone SE2 instead. It’s been a great ride with my Sony XZ Premium but the audio jack and charging port died on me :-(

4K panel with software to attempt 90Hz refresh rate
Holy crap, this MAY be my next phone! Here's hoping they throw in some pre-order goodies like a hardcore headset or fast-wireless charging pad.

The 21:9 4K OLED display format that debuted on the Xperia 1 makes a re-appearance
Sony finally reintroduces the 3.5mm headphone jack after ditching it on the Xperia XZ2 phones two years ago
The panel itself doesn't appear to be a 90Hz one, but Sony is implementing a supposedly equivalent technology
The telephoto lens jumps to 3x optical zoom, from the Xperia 1's 2x zoom
This is actual zoom with a 70mm equivalent, unlike Samsung's shenanigans with the Galaxy S20 and S20+
According to Max Weinbach, the main 12 MP 1/1.7" sensor is the same one on the Galaxy S20 and S20+
There's no support for 4K video recording, since none of the three sensors meet the 33 MP resolution requirement
The Xperia 1 II sees a massive jump in battery size, going from 3300 mAh on last year's phone, to a 4000 mAh unit

no dng/raw = no buy
Here you go. Full leak! 3x zoom, 4000mah battery, wireless charging, Zeiss lens, and headphone jack!
