A jack is an essential part of a smartphone. It's supposed to do it all with many options instead of only one. Now then, I wish Sony would use a Quad or Sabre DAC to really seal the deal. Having a powerful DAC in there will make everyone remember the meaning behind Sony.

And with the return of the wired headphones, wouldn't it hurt their wireless earbuds' sales badly, as people would be more inclined towards buying their wired headphones instead?
Anyway, making money or not, this is certainly a commencible move that everyone must acknowledge, for it is the thing that almost everyone has always been asking for.

Apple, Samsung & Huawei's earbuds sell a lot. You can look it up if you don't believe me. That is why they won't bring back the jack, as it would hurt the sales of those TWS earbuds.

The first priority of these companies is always to make as much money as possible.

The stupid name aside, the phone seems actually rather good overall. The design is elegant. The camera hardware sounds promising. The thin bezels with stereo speakers is the ideal setup. Return of headphone jack will please Jack fans. Upgraded battery should give pretty good endurance with Sony's optimizations.

It's looking good. Probably the finest flagship Sony has made in recent years. Now it's upto the marketing team to make it sell.

[deleted post]Samsung s20ultra is still peace of s** compared to iPad Pro.
Size is almost there, Ultra has a better camera, but productivity wise, it's nowhere near.
So....just buy yourself a tablet if you already have a place in your bag.

If Sony could bring back the headphone jack, then Apple and Samsung can do it as well. All it takes is to have the two famous brands to do the same wise thing as Sony did, and it will be a major trend in less than a month or so.

3.5mm jack
Notchless display
21:9 4K HDR OLED screen
Big battery with insane battery optimizations for longevity
Dual stereo speakers
--And people say that Samsung and Apple provide the best multimedia experience? Ha!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Sony will break the internet with the return of the 3.5mm jack on a flagship! Wish the jack is equipped with a Sabre DAC. All flagships with jack should have a Quad/Sabre DAC in there. I bet the module doesn't cost much.

USA is the biggest market for photography/videography.

You can never satisfy anyone. Even 4000 is not big enough for you. Let's cram a nuclear reactor then? And you'll want more anyway.

I think newly announced Sony phones are step in the right direction.
The only thing that concerns me is stupid notch on new L4.
