The hardware looks decent but the place these BBK sub-brands (actually sub-sub lub a dub bub BBK brand) fail at is the software.
Far too few of their devices have unlocked bootloaders for custom ROMs IIRC. Which is more important than what Average Joe phone user takes it to be because when these companies stop supporting their so called flagships or gaming phones in 1.5~2 years, modders are the ones who still keep these phones viable.
Or they could go a full Essential / LeEco and shut the (sub) brand down or downsize it to oblivion once it looses it's sheen.

So vivo has joined Xiaomi in exaggerating nits of brightness when no chinese phone has gotten past 800 nits..anyway doesn't mean much but they really do seem to hype things up a bit much then eventually turn our mediocre..

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2020worst name ever for a phone :sPeople now saying disappointed cause they want 8k screen what hell you need 8k for if they make 8k then you want 12k screen I’m happy with 1080p I use iPhone 11 and honestly couldn’t tell difference or care like 8k screen is gonna suck the hell out of the battery and burn your screen quicker that’s why I stick to Apple display I was using iPhone 7 for so many years never had issue and screen still looked good people just never happy

Whackcar, 25 Feb 2020It seems like every phone this year is gonna use that bland design. Wtf happened to originality?Apple. From the iPhone 2G to 11 Pro, pretty much the same design. Only LG have tried to innovate with some phones.
Moto RAZR 2 is first to introduce something new and get the design right. Samsung Flip is better specced but unimaginative. Maybe China will copy the folding phones next year and try something new.
