Love the Community, 25 Feb 2020In PC, there's an application called RAMDisk where you can put any files in the remaining RAM ... moreNew games takes almost 100GB in space these days, good luck trying to keep that in RAM. Also everytime you shutdown computer, you will have to transfer your game files to RAM again, not very conveneint.

16 gb funny. At least 64 gb ram is needed in next 3 years, if you plan to keep your new phone 3 years long.

Samsung always delivers premium specs for their premium phones unlike some greedy fruit company.

RAM can be used as storage but rebooting will make you lose everything you stored in it.

Ram disk would be maybe possible for phones indeed. SInce we have them working non-stop.
RAM,when you shut computer down it will reset. So this so called virtual ram drive if it has standby battery source will be similar to hdd or ssd, but i suppose when u shut down computer or in this case phone, it will reset.
It is not HDD, which is depending on rotational speed, thus speed of accessing files varies. from 5400rot to 7200rot. Today just bought P300 Toshiba 1 TB, will be used in PC, but i might buy external case (icybox) and use it this way. At least better than all 2,5" 5400 RPM disks.

But with 16gigs of ram, Android will become more demanding as well. Dont know how many space would be even available to create virtual ram disk and store info inside to have better speed.

LPDDR4X and everything prior to that should already be discontinued with production stopped. Remaining stock sold or re-purposed if possible.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2020What are you talkingIn PC, there's an application called RAMDisk where you can put any files in the remaining RAM cache as storage. For example, a gamer has 32GBs of RAM in his computer and he has like less than 16GB of free cache in the RAM so a gamer can put a game in there and play on it. Comparing to a SSD and DDR4 RAM, RAM is obviously faster almost tenfold.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2020What are you talkingKeep all the huge apps in the ram memory permanently.
This avoid the over head of copying the app from internal storage and loading into ram. Since the app already in ram, if u click to open it starts very quickly
