I always assumed it would be, a little. Nothing, runs well. I'm assuming Samsung has improved a bit in 3yrs. My GF has the 10e, Exynos, and it runs fine. Don't think lag is the issue much now, but the photos on the Ultra are poor, for a £1399 phone.

MIUI is the best out of the Chinese skins apart from OnePlus.
I prefer the Deep customization on MIUI.

No lag and optimized for the Exynos chip.
BTW All Flagships from 2019 including budgets ones never lagged.
You probably bought a cheap refurbished model of the S10. Those are known to be plagued with issues.
Rankings for best Android skins in 2020 :
1)Oxygen OS
2) Zen UI
3) MIUI
4th spot up for grabs between Color OS, One UI 2, EMUI.
I Personally use custom ROM on my S10 (Exynos).
Super smooth, none of the issues you mentioned.

Did you tried a pixel? Or a oneplus, htc, sony, even nokia which I don't have but some friends talk really good of their phone been fast and reliable. Yes, except for nokia, these brands are a little pricier than mid range samsungs and xiaomis, but they can be better in almost everything, specially the software. imo

With proper using of a device ie. a entry level android Redmi 4X won't lag for 90% uses and will do your all jobs with proper usability

It's the same sh!t with Exynos versions of S10's compared to Snapdragon versions. The image quality may be comparable but the level of detail is way better on Snapdragon versions compared to blurry crap on Exynos when you zoom in the image.

Not bad news! Hopefully Samsung give the user the option to choose between a quad-cell-binning (Quad-Beyer) and a nona-cell-binning. The 12 Megapixel resolution with a 4:3 format is not really suitable for a 20:9 screen. And the currently circulating 12-MP-pictures do not really impress me. Maximum the low-light-area as well as the night mode results are a little bit better, but no groundbreaking change in the smartphone-camera world. Still the circulating daylight pictures are looking more worse than photos from e.g. Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, which I still consider as a kind of benchmark. Not to forget: While the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL has only one single camera, the S20 line-up is coming with a bundle of lenses. But still the pictures of such multi-camera-phones are not as good as the old Windows 10 mobile smartphone. Quite crazy, isn't it?

"mostly positive" mmmm no, I've read about smeary details, over-processed look etc. AF issues, skin tone rendering issues, definitely not positive in my view, hope Samsung sort it out! there IQ has gone backwards since S9/Note9, comparing IQ on GSMArena photo compare shows how much poorer Note 10 is compared to Note 9, don't know what Samsung is doing?? while other OEMs are dialling back the heavy handed processing Samsung is doing the opposite, no idea why? People want more natural looking photos, not smeary water colour photos!!

Imagine buying the Ultra for 1400 dollars and then after 2 years you can't use it anymore due to being shitty and laggy.
