Why would anyone want a "gaming" phone with a tiny display? These 20:9 displays only have the equivalent width (or height in landscape mode) of yesterday's 5" 16:9 displays. Yes, in theory, if the game supports it, you might see more of the scene on outer edges, but what good is seeing more of what you can already barely see? And considering these phones are marketed for games like Fortnite and PUBG, wouldn't making onscreen elements appear as large as possible be better than just seeing more small stuff?

Bottom line: 20:9 aspect ratios suck. 18:9 should have been the new standard. We need to get back to truly large displays, and we need gaming phones to lead the way.

Specially the Honkai Impact 3rd, played on a samsung S9 and Note 9 and still stutter during gameplay

Real Racing is a proper game that has been around for ages and is a good benchmark. So too PUBG Mobile, with all of it's bugs and server issues.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2020Absolute beast. Too bad nubia never releases its phone in Pakistan :(Same from Slovakia here in central europe.
My onyl chance is buy from Alliexpress but i am risking long delivery and the chance what exactly i will get and if i get anything,.

I have mixed results from purchasing from alliexpress. And another thing are warranty claims.
Despite its a trully beast i will probably pick something which have available repair in my country and something i can buy here in case of warranty claims.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2020Just put a skin of your choice on it if you don't like the design. Putting on a skin does affect heat dissipation, and that's probably more important for a gaming phone with the highest refresh rate on the market.

PankHu, 29 Feb 2020You better try that Exynos version, but don't complain later your phone is lagging in games. S... moreExynos works fine and for the first 8 out of the current 11 generations was overall superior. Even had better gpu in 5 of those generations.
And the exynos 990 is a huge change compared to the last two.

Plus at £400 is was a steal, 120hz is too much for some games like mcoc but 90hz is perfect. Previous Razor phone looked fantastic at 120hz for games but phone would burn heat wise within 3 mins. Snapdragon 865 should handle things well even at 144hz. OS wise, scrolling around phone the diff between 60hz and 120hz is very noticeable. 60 to 90 is better too but 90hz to 120hz you can still tell the difference scrolling menus etc. 144hz from 90hz will be a nice upgrade. Just wish we could watch things on mobile at these refresh rates like YT etc!
P.S if you already have Red Magic 3 you won't need the upgrade, this phone is already better than most 855 android devices and its flat so no stupid waterfall nonsense getting in the way either!

I have been using the Red Magic 3 for 10mths+ now and love it. It does everything I need it to do gaming wise running titles like Marvel Contest of Champions very well even with a case on insulating it and it not overheating. The fan I don't use often but it does help when I need it, if charging and playing for example it really does the job of keeping the phone running perfectly well. I have tried Note 10+, S9, S10, both Black shark 1/2, Razor Phone 1/2, and RoG1/2 and the only one to come close was the OG Razer Phone 1. Wouldn't trade it, just wish the basic software was better like dark mode actually working lol
Hoping Android 10 makes the small issues I have vanish ;)
