Hahaha.. 4000 mAh battery AND still no fast charging?? It will only take 6 years to charge.

UHD display and 5G. You will just about get a day of use with medium use.

My wife's XZ3 is still running on android Pie. Even though its almost stock Android, Sony are slow as hell.

My Note 9 got Android 10 almost three months now. Battery lasts one and a half days with light use. It has an Spen and I paid £330 for it in mint condition.

Bye bye Sony.

YogiBear83, 02 Mar 2020I read comments and I dont believe what I just read. If u have the same type of ram (etc lddr5... moreIt's not per cell regulated, its per memory chip. LPDDR5 is made on small manufacturing node and has a little different power management resulting in 20~25% lower power consumption. We do need more RAM & higher bandwidth along with lower latency & DDR rate steping up is a step in a wrong way regarding latency. Would gladly trade 16 GB of DDR for 8 GB HMB regarding that. In the end Linux memory scheduling poll & Android extension over it works different than what you imagine & no removing apps from task list doesn't kill their processes & memory poll.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2020Your phone will have to work very hard if there is not enough free RAM to run the apps. That u... moreI read comments and I dont believe what I just read. If u have the same type of ram (etc lddr5), more RAM takes more power because all ram cells need to maintain electrical voltage - in 8GB (64bilion cells) in 12GB (96bilion cells).

I have XZ3 with 4GB RAM and it doesnt matter, 1 app, 10 apps I always have 1 GB free RAM and I never need more RAM. I dont play games od phone, I got PS4.

No matter how good the phone is, Sony is always terrible in their marketing strategy. Seriously, no one is seeing this unless you're a tech fan or passing by a sony store. How can they expect they phones to sell?
I was a sony fan, using the Z series until the Z5 Premium. But there's literally no impact that makes me want to continue to get any sony phones now.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2020thats in fact.. not true. memory has a big impact on battery life. No, refer to the reply below. 12 GB RAM uses 2 slots, 8GB and 4GB, 16 GB also uses 2 slots, 2x 8 GB. Power consumption difference is negligible.

With the price point of Xperia 10 II , they should have provided an HDR capable screen at least

robdevil XI, 02 Mar 2020More memory chips = more power is drawn. Logic. Logic but not true,
Something like that is true for laptops like when you put 2 SLOTS of Ram,
But if you are using 1 slot of ram whatever capacity is it, it uses the same voltage as long as the frequency is same, and the latter case applies for smartphones.

Sony really have done a great job improving the Xperia 1 and Xperia 10. However, the Xperia 1 ii's price tag won't be an easy choice, thus making the Xperia 10 ii a better buy despite the lack of Zeiss lens and on-board OIS.

Xperia 1ii Could have been perfect with 120hz refresh rate and price of 1000€.
Maybe sony will provide some high quality freebies (headphones) like last year:)
