Xiaomi is cheap cause they share the blueprint, have no R&D, they use bulk components and have very low quality control, they are always one generation behind in everything except CPU and some other OEM components. OnePlus is cheap cause it's a write off business for BKK, pretty much a marketing tool and tax write off at the same time. Their prices increase because price of components increase as well.

Before that, was nokia 808 pureview.
All other are pentile.
There is no WRGB oled for mobile. Only LCD.

Dont forget oled is less sharp than LCD because of pentile.
When you leave apps open in multitask they keep using power.
All this to save you 0,2s when you open.
S20 Ultra 16GB will use more power than S20 Ultra 12GB.

QHD 60Hz oled HDR like s10+ = $87 (imagine 4K 120 !!! )
* 8GB ddr5 costs 25% more than 8GB ddr4x
You dont make a $1200 phones for less than $600.

More RAM = more battery consumption. Every more task in RAM takes more power. Only flash memory can hanlde state of bits without additional power.

Plus the overall headroom in terms of RAM allows apps to remain in memory thereby preventing them from getting killed (aggressive task killing uses cpu and reduces battery life).
No one complaining about 4k resolution but everyone is complaining about lack of higher refresh rate (120hz native not some gimmicky software based 90hz).
If tomorrow Samsung gives 4k screen but drops 120hz display, I'll be the first ones to bash them.

Xperia 1m2 will have the best in industry AutoFocus like they have in mirrorless cameras. Every pro photographer non-stop say about AF, AF, AF and Sony finally bring that to smartphones. First in the world.

Reason why his phones lack it.... moreI can say by experience that the components in Chinese phones, despite being good on paper. Are usually lower value than other brands. For example. I had a Xperia XA I got for free in 2014. I then got Mi a2 in 2018. Great specs on paper but memory and ram were slower than on my 2014 XA.
Same goes for oneplus. They say ultra fast memory ufs3.0
Tests show that galaxy note 9 is faster with ufs 2.1.
People say Xperia is too expensive. Compare the cost of full hd / 2k / 4k monitors. The screen of the Xperia x1 might cost 300$ alone when other phones cost sub400$ altogether.
Mi note 10 battery is 5200mah but battery life is worse than Xperia 5"+ which is 3100mah. And oneplus 7pro with 4000 is on par with the Xperia.
Dont watch the numbers.
I have used a lot of brands and Sony has always been the more consistent in the hardware and software. Yes it's a shame they have so bad marketing. But the phones are great. People test what they want. When Sony had best manual mode of any phone winning contests in photography dxomark would test phones in auto mode. Now that iPhone 11 has better manual phone they test in manual mode.
Brands pay dxomark to make better score at dxomark tests. Dxomark is not the answer to what camera is better. It's a good idea of the camera but it's only a point of view. Most of the quality of a picture remains in the hands of the human taking it.
If you guys want a good experience with your phone I advise you to buy a Sony. You will finally understand what having a good phone means.

You can open 120apps and you wont have even 4GB being used.
Weird, that none used to care about Razer I and Sharp phones using 120Hz. Then when chinese phones put 90, it becomes must be. This is riduculous and bias.
I am 100000% sure that if Samsung, Apple or Oneplus puts 4K screen, haters will not complain anymore.
LG was bashed by QHD + 3000mAh, but Samsung S6 was praised by having QHD despite the 2500mAh.
12 or 16GB, too ridiculous. It is a cellphone, not PlayStation. Actually not even PS4 has 12GB ram.
