OnePlus and Huawei gave the fastest charging available around 2 years back.
Those phones didn't suffer battery degradation in 6 months with heavy use.
The truth is that Chinese manufacturers are at the forefront of innovation while Mainstream brands playing catchup. I am pretty sure these same brand fanatics will shut up the moment Sony or Apple gives them 50W charging. These so called battery degradation issues will disappear overnight as soon as their favorite brand gives them 50W and above fast charging.

The 45W charger fills up the entire battery in 57 min.

surely 8k is not usable in every day usage but it can be usable if you put phone on stand and keep it steady in good lighting conditions you can create some amazing videos with 8k ..

xperia 1 II design is actually what i want from a phone, rectangular with flat frame.. but the problem is, even there are a lot of people want this, how they could get it now? since lots of sony mobile has been closed/not available in many countries

Xperia 1 Mark II: SD865
Xperia 10 Mark II: SD765
Xperia L4: ... more765 exists for affordable 5G and for some reason it's only Chinese that are massively buying into 5G phones just like how the whole western world fell for 4G screaimg I must have it now! Only to find out it's not that big of a deal after all. Same will happen with sub6 5G.
Anyway 765 is completely unnecessary as you don't get to use all of it's features, for example camera stack. In order to justify 765 you need some high grade camera stack in order to squeeze the juice and abilities out of the CPU. Camera stack in 10II is definitely not it.

The SOC Sony should have used:
Xperia 1 Mark II: SD865
Xperia 10 Mark II: SD765
Xperia L4: SD665

Of course not. It's because few will buy the 45w charger. That way they have the super fast charging on paper but few complains of battery being transformed to shit after 6mo of use. Smart. Scam, but smart.

Works great. Not exactly a dealbreaker. Pointless to have another app just to use manual because gcam does not.
No phone with gcam will ever give same results of pixel.

Xperia 1 MII is almost perfect flagship. Price is what kills the vibe. I know, that the news are'nt cheap and there will be customers who will buy this phone at first day. Buut i'm not this one;) Im happy and exited that Sony made such good improvements. Im not complain about RAM [Sony have good optimised systemsin thier flagships] or only 4K support [who needs 8K now??] Second thing that make to think about this p[hone is...size. Its not a small phone. I wish that Sony will make something close to XZ2C [at least] but XZ1C would be perfect :D

Well the biggest issue with Sony right now is availability and after sales service as they have backed out from most markets and hence will loose lots of potential buyers... Secondly, they are priced on higher side like most sony products and hence on few will be able to afford these making them niche devices... Those wo go for most bang fir the bucks would also skip these and go for Samsung or Oneplus...
But otherwise these are some of the perfect phones Sony has ever created. The only thing other than availability and price that would stop me from buying Xperia 1 Mark II is the low spec selfie camera. Sony had the best front camera specs once and now they are not even on par with low end phones. For me selfies are equally important as other aspects of the device. Also 30w charging would have been great as it's coming down to mid rangers this year.
The Xperia 10 Mark II adds 2 more cons that is only 4GB or RAM which is only just sufficient. It should have been 6GB. Also at this price a 7 series processor would have been perfect... Snapdragon 665 is also only sufficient.
For being a Sony Mobile fan and buyer since SE P800, I am glad to see them making great phones again and they are on the right track. These phones are closest to perfection ever in sony mobiles history. Just wish this momentum get even better and sony mobile market situation improves as well as availability... Good luck 👍

I said I knew the device was going to have weeks before it was announced. The same way I know it has white pixel and 144Hz LCD, made by LG.
When I say it has ddr5/ufs3.0 , it is because it does.
