Anonymous, 29 Feb 2020Fan will die or get clogged up in months , you then will have an expensive paperweight."Will" is not a good argument.

This isn't the first phone with a built-in fan. Nubia 3 had one too, and it's doing just fine for it's users.

So, it's the new version to last year's 8kp30 model. Dies that mean it's going be 8k p60.

They need to support 12 bit HDR rec2100 4:2:2 at 24/24/30/50/60 fps at least 300mb/s h265 or 600mb/s h264 or include something like ZRaw by Z-Cam, to be considered professional, and 600mb/s h265 is even more professional. It is hard to take anything with less than 150mb/s at 8kp24/25 as professional.

Fan intake takes in a lot of flammable stuff. You need no pass filtering which can be cleaned by just wiping it over. Then fan will become safer and more reliable. But there at better solutions, to be invented. Imagine if the whole case was a water proof no pass filter. Now getting air to the fan and out becomes easier. Never heard of such a thing, but can see how it can work. The fan area can increase to over half the case area. There was a couple of more steps in this design before you hit maximum efficiency, and there is a better design.

15000 rpm on a phone?
Will be pretty noisy + that won't last more than a year before it starts squeelling.
And for what? No game can push even SD845 to it's limits, let alone 865.

The right way to cool off a gaming phone. Heatpipes alone just don't cut it for long gaming sessions. Nubia's doing it right.

Notice the rear design... It looks as though the antenna array is quite formidable.

Usually in gaming phones the antennas are better, numerous and positioned in such a way that no matter how or where you hold the gaming phone. Your reception will pretty much be stable.

This is what Red Magic are also subtly demonstrating.

I'm guessing if there is a fan cooling system then there will be an intake port and exhaust port for airflow?
If that is the case then I hope they have a filter to keep dust and other particle intake to a minimum.
It's ok with a PC because they open up easy, but that's difficult with a phone....maybe thin removable filter slides ? That could be removed and cleaned
