WiFi direct not working with proprietary app? Maybe you blocked it on settings. Works for everyone else.
Security updates every 3 month?
LOL miui gets weakly updates if you use Global beta ROM.

Stuff, I might have to buy something else. It might hardly get out for a number of months due to closures. It also, lacks high end video, card slot or 3.5mm headphone and stereo microphone Jack. That would be professional. The LG dual screen phone has card and headphone jack.
Mystic21, 06 Mar 2020They should make none 5G versions this price is way.... To high for me. The curved screen also makes the price higher. There should be standard version such as flat screen and doesn't have wirelesd charging.
Maybe wait for K30 Pro. It maybe use flat screen.
It's just too late, guys - The King Nokia 8.2 will be already realised & available and it will be for sure 100 times better 5G phone than these bulky overpriced notched Chinese bricks!!! ;-)
Way too heavy + waiting period for unlocking bootloader = pass. But respect to Mi9 flagship of the year 2019. #Xperia1.2

And all of MIUI devices have bad auto brightness. This makes the phones overall a bad deal, especially because this problem is known for me atleast since MIUI 8. A "smart"phone should be able to adjust brightness, seriously. There is also no wifi direct data transfer, only with their proprietary app which I don't want to use. On the Note 8 there is also a bug which makes your notifications sometimes silent if you don't use "wake up screen for notifications" or something. That probably will never be fixed since the Note 8 is cheap...
AnonD-908380, 06 Mar 2020Xiaomi has even worse software support than Samsung, consider this before buying...I will consider buying Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 (12 March), of design is ok, if phone is not to bulky (like Note 10 f.e.) and if is there Qualcomm Snapdragon 7xx series, (even 712 will be ok). And all that for 200$. Even Note 5 (phone from January 2018) runs Android 9 (soon 10), but more important, security patch is from Feb 2020, and MIUI version is 11 (out of the box i thin it was, 9).. So for that low price, thats a more than enough of official support, i think.
NotAnOpinion, 06 Mar 2020Still no news coverage on the Mi 10's updated firmware deployment black screen-of-death but ke... moreYes, Xiaomi is amazingly bad at updates:
The recently introduced Mi Note 10 is still on Android 9 and it has not had even a security update for three months now.
Xiaomi has even worse software support than Samsung, consider this before buying...
Still no news coverage on the Mi 10's updated firmware deployment black screen-of-death but keeps pushing articles on a DxO so-called high score that no one has verified is true because only DxO REVIEW UNIT has the supposed refined camera software, the same for the Find X II.
I recall, DxO refused to implement a full review (any review) on the iPhone 11 Pro Max early due to because they "claim" that they were waiting for "the commercial release", NOT THE TEST UNIT SOFTWARE, of Apple's Deep Fusion's commercial update.
Interesting, how DxO priorities has changed with Asian companies.
