That’s a smart move, hope it will work for them. But I still doubt if the app quality will match iOS cause it will be hard for developers to accommodate their applications on specific phones and particularly for a company like Huawei who unveil new phones every months... Let’s just hope it will beat the one on Android.
App quality on Android is utter garbage...

Do they treat them any worse than Apple and Google treat their Developers? if you have read the article, it says chinese devs only get 50% of the revenue of their apps in huawei's apps repository, while apple and google provides 70% regardless of the nationality of the devs.

Desperate times call for desperate measuresDevs aren't a charity. Of course you have to make it attractive for them to support the new platform. They're trying to make sure short term ROI is maximal, which in turn will make long term ROI for Huawei higher. All smart.
(ROI means Return On Investment.)

Calling all developers... Time to expand on beyond iOS & GPlay Store... It's time to turn towards HMS. GSDA. I will be writing clear emails to my financial app services I use. And encouraging these app Developers to at least start thinking and planning towards an app for HMS. GSDA. This is important as Google is good. But they need a rival based on Android.
