And yes I don't care for excuses and I own 4K display, for many years actually.
It's just silly.
AnonD-889996, 11 Mar 2020Low brightness, airplane mode, 512GB Storage, all apps closed except camera.
Good marketing... moreS10 and Note 10 didn't even have OIS at 4K at 60fps.
Not sure for the S20 but I suggest it won't either.
Current 512GB Android phones will even work fine for video recording at this resolution and framerate but will it offer the same quality as the iPhone?
There is also an assessment in Notebookcheck about this. The iPhone still wins. Including audio recording with videos. Read it.

If you go to Apple youtube channel, you actually see that none of their videos have never been in 4K not even official ads made with Pro gear. There's reason for that, youtube and Apple want to use different 4K codec. Apple is all about HEVC and google is all about VP9
Low brightness, airplane mode, 512GB Storage, all apps closed except camera.
Good marketing ad, but every phone can do these and could be better.
nice ,gonna upgrade to p40pro or xiaomi mi 10pro
GuyPhone, 11 Mar 2020That's because your phone does not support QHD resolution. That would be my PC display, actually, and it's not an issue for any other 4k video on Youtube...
Garett, 11 Mar 2020"Shot in 4K" but displayed on Youtube on FHD only...That's because your phone does not support QHD resolution.
Berserker, 11 Mar 2020Because of overheating. But as i said, maybe im wrong:) You are wrong, there's already videos on youtube showing that iPhone can shoot very long videos, just search them.
Anonymous, 11 Mar 2020Why the doubt?Because of overheating. But as i said, maybe im wrong:)
"Shot in 4K" but displayed on Youtube on FHD only...
Not even 4K@30? That's kinda sad considering you are recording video of visual art.
Doing something to brag about battery life instead of promoting one of the best compact camera phone on the market with 4K@60 ... makes sense ... probably to a PR departement.
I doubt this video was taken in one take. Maybe What they did is pause or stop the video when the phone is not moving, let it charge and cool down and than continue from the same spot, and then stitch the videos together as one video.
DavidDuck, 11 Mar 2020If only I could have a 500GB SSD that can be replaced whenever wherever :(
Oh ye I do cause... moregood try, but do some research next time.
You can do exactly same with iPhone, Even Apple selling one in their own store.
Anonymous, 10 Mar 2020If only it could record 5 hours of 4k 60fps....If only I could have a 500GB SSD that can be replaced whenever wherever :(
Oh ye I do cause I have Android :)
Never recorded in 4K. 1080p is more than enough.

Let that sink in.

So I'm sure these 5 hours were made on 4k30fps
Pabliell, 10 Mar 2020Was it really shot in 4K? Asking, because there's no 4K option for this video on YouTube. If ... moreDepends of the display. If your screen doesn't support 4K, it won't appear in the options.
Anonymous, 10 Mar 2020Amazing! best battery life in the marketLol, Atleast 10 other phones with better battery life than this.
Lot of them pushing more frames than 60hz.
