WazzaG, 13 Mar 2020Got a slightly different camera setup hasn't it, plus bigger screen and battery. Exactly, so 90% of the review will be the same for the S20+ as it will for the S20.
uk7866, 13 Mar 2020They don't need a chance when the regular S20 and S20 has been out for a weekMaybe in your part of the world, but in Europe (where GSMA is based) the release date was today.
Anonymous, 13 Mar 2020It's really disheartening that the s20 is not gonna run with Snapdragon 865 in our country. I'... moreIt's not going to be that bad. I have to put up with Exynos too, but I'm not going to all the trouble of Importing a Snapdragon model because of the import tariffs/duties, also they're usually HK models, that also means that they are less likely to be repaired in your home country, that also means that things may not work in your country as well.
If it breaks, you're going to have to send it back to the retailer, it could be gone months or never return at all.
Put up with Exynos. It's not the end of the world.

I'... moreI'm in the same boat, Mate 10 Pro and I really want the S20+ with Snapdragon but I'm in the UK so we get Exynos which I have seen online is slower and more power hungry than the Snapdragon, looks like I'm waiting for the Oneplus.
It's really disheartening that the s20 is not gonna run with Snapdragon 865 in our country. I'm currently using a Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Kirin really sucks. I wanna move to Samsung cause I'm really sick with Huawei already and it's Kirin processors that are so bad. I wanna try Snapdragon already but they release s20 with Exynos here which also sucks like Kirin.
The big camera bump, is, a no deal.
Design look cheap plastic, the color shown just look cheap.
The iPhone 11 Pro is a bit more expensive, too, which makes the Galaxy S20 the no-brainer best compact flagship phone for the money right now.
This model and the S20+ now makes sense. Unfortunately, 5G version is mandatory in certain countries such as the US even if mmWave coverage is still very lacking. Exynos version is ahem...tasteless...as usual. SD S20 can hit the iPhone 11 Pro quite hard even with a $100 price increase.
It's just the rubbish S20 Ultra that is a problem.

marclee37, 13 Mar 2020it is not a TRUE zooming lens? no wonder there is no focal length info shown in the spec page.... moreThe only reason I'm not criticizing that is because they don't falsely advertise it as "Optical Zoom". They call it the "Hybrid Optic Zoom" (their trademarked name for their hybrid zooming technique), which saves them from legal trouble & bullying.
On the other hand, the fact remains that it doesn't really have a telephoto or periscope camera, and it solely relies on cropping & post-processing to take "zoomed" images.
I've seen sample images online, and it's images look decent. In the end, it is upto you to decide whether you care more about raw specs, or end results.

Give them a chance, I'm sure they'll have the S20+ review on soon, although aside from battery life I can't imagine much of a real-world difference.
So where's the S20+ review? The + is probably going to be the best selling one as it gives the user the little extra screen and camera features that you miss on with the vanilla S20.

it is not a TRUE zooming lens? no wonder there is no focal length info shown in the spec page. I have to double check the picture quality of those zoomed images then. I have to watch if more other phone makers designed their zoomed cameras using such non traditional way.
About dam time. Still waiting for the official S20 battery test from GSMarena.
Using one rn and its fantastic yet compact
