HMD pushes back some Android 10 updates due to COVID-19 Comments

Nokia should release new smartphone with flapship specs and cheaper price only then nokia might be able to catchup with other smartphone companies in the competition.
Currently, for me nokia is dead, the last nokia device i ever used was c6-01 which was around 6-7 years back.

huh? What does COVID-19 have to do with a software update? Software can be done anywhere in the world. Most software are outsourced to China or India anyway, so working on it remotely is nothing new. If COVID-19 can impact software development on HMD that hugely, that means their own company management is poor.

Currently, I am using Nokia 3 (2017). It was launched with Android 7 and later got OS updates of 8, 8.1 and 9. Unfortunately, it won't get Android 10. As it has entered in its 3 year, now it is getting quarterly security updates. No complaints.
No other OEM provides so much attention even to their so called flagship phones. On other hand, HMD Nokia provides software support even to their low end phones. Looking forward to buy some other Nokia phone this year to replace my Nokia 3.

Secondly, these features are basic "smart"phone functionalities. I don't expect the Redmi Note 8 to render a video, let alone run a graphically intesive game. I just want to receive my messages without delays and with sound. I want the brightness to be adjusted automatically. Those things work on other phones and those are NOT intensive workloads. Let's not act like I'm trying to strain CPU and GPU here. Basic functionality...

Lots of businesses have been shutting down, permanently or temporary due to virus while some are doing "social distancing" to mitigate the risks of spreading like what happened to a call center in Korea.
Maybe this incident will promote work at home policies from companies stuck on the old ways.

IBesides that fact that android 10 strugles to be something is Not, HMD delivert their Promise. An update should come to fix the remain bugs when google releases it besides that, i really see no Problem with the device.

So much hate, some of these phones cost £50. I don't mind waiting a few extra weeks for my android 10 for a Nokia 4.2 considering it'll likely get android 11 under the program too. Nokia are above many other companies with they're updates, if your buying specifically to be the first to get updates you need a pixel phone or an iPhone.
