Anonymous, 13 Mar 2020The hardware is different. Which means different codes need to be written. That is why Android... more... and here is where ppl dont understand the difference of hardware compatibility issues, as different resolution, camera drivers or buttons. In this case the phones have nearly identical hardware and changing Ui doesn't affect any of these.
Anonymous, 13 Mar 2020The hardware is different. Which means different codes need to be written. That is why Android... moreUpdating to android 10 ( one ui 1.x to 2.0 ) is not the same as updating one ui 2.0 to 2.1. That's the same android version with little additions..
Hope they will fix the LED light notification missing call, mesages, etc...
davk, 13 Mar 2020No , as that phones are using the same or nearly the same softwareThe hardware is different. Which means different codes need to be written. That is why Android version updates take so long to come. Why do you think the 2019 A series have not all been upgraded to Android 10 if it's as easy as you said?
Anonymous, 12 Mar 2020It will cost them time and money. Their software engineers have newer phones to update. No , as that phones are using the same or nearly the same software
I wouldn't trust anythingasamsung forum moderator says.. most leaksters are more accurate than these guys. They are the ones saying every year there will be a third major OS update and be like that
Older flagships means phones released within 5 years of range.Aka From S6 to S7.S9 were released like 2 years ago. This is insane unfair for all those users who payed high prices for phones not updated later on.
Brz, 12 Mar 2020Apple can update phones like 6s because they have only one line of phones. Samsung used to hav... moresamsung needs to treat galaxy s software updates as what apple does to iphones, i.e. 4 years of major updates
Baraie, 12 Mar 2020This is why I have grown to strongly dislike Samsung. Apple still supports updates for iPhone ... moreWhy just Samsung? How about other Android OEMs? A whole lot of you are being childish here complaining about nothing. I doubt any of these complainers owes S8.
Jaeger, 12 Mar 2020Samsung's update policy is widely known. Complaining is pointless. The more people we get who points the fingers at Google and their deliberate fragmentation on Android, the faster we can get a responsible company forking Android out of Google's greedy fingers.
The only way to fix Android is to get Google out.
Baraie, 12 Mar 2020This is why I have grown to strongly dislike Samsung. Apple still supports updates for iPhone ... moreApple can update phones like 6s because they have only one line of phones. Samsung used to have note, S, A, J. Nowadays they have only S, note and A but in one year they put out 10 different phones at least. 10 different phones came out at Apple from 2016 or something. Is not that easy.
travstr, 12 Mar 2020it says "older" so it's completely accurate. and yes if something is the previous version it's... moreproblem is note 9/s9 update was very well expected.considering what we know about sammy flagship update history.but s8/note8 get a simple UI update not a whole android version woud be nice and new.shame
