And I ain't going to be bothered with side loading or installing them by any other way on $1000 phone. It is ridiculous indeed. So the pricing is wrong and remarks like "too pricey, too expensive" are valid!
Dead on arrival.
Without Google service you have to be literally insane to pay these kind of prices.
Maybe if they undercut the competition they would have stranded a chance but like this it's ridiculous.

Seriously, these guys are predictable.
Anonymous, 12 Mar 2020Whats gcam? Why does it lack ?The p30 pro has a screen of 1080p, not QHD, as for Gcam, that is the google software for cameras, which is presumably the best around

Aquila, 12 Mar 2020Even kids can afford these premium phones these days . Really...Wrong, you are utterly wrong, what is on your "mind" ? Then, why are there so many ultra chep devices? Those devices exist precisely because the vast majority of the consumers buy what can really afford, that's it, the real premium device segment is very little in comparison with the entry level one, the reason for the premium flagship devices existance is the prestige it gives to the brand, the real income is the low end segment
wasox, 12 Mar 2020Just because many of them have not been even near a premium flagship device, that is whyEven kids can afford these premium phones these days . Really...

mooox, 12 Mar 2020Curious. Why are people who can't afford premium phones be commenting about pricing of premium... moreOh yes! You are absolutely right to the point! Many people here rant and criticize phones that never in their life will, by no means ever have! So, they stick to say that all those ultra cheap devices are the BEST things to buy, and that expensive, premium high quality devices (mostly samsung and apple) are over priced, over rated and inferior to the likes of pure china origin, the only exception being huawei, which stands against the USA, as the valiant champion who emerged to save all those poor victims of the subjugated world, lol by the way, these prices of the p40 series of course, are fair and absolutey fine for all those people, even if they can not afford them
mooox, 12 Mar 2020Curious. Why are people who can't afford premium phones be commenting about pricing of premium... moreIf you have money you have to throw them around? I want to buy more with less, that's the whole principle of making money.

Anonymous, 12 Mar 2020Realme X50 with Samsung GW1 sensor is absolutely garbage. U pay 1000$ for a camera phone???? How many pictures u take a week?
Curious. Why are people who can't afford premium phones be commenting about pricing of premium phones being too high? When will they realise that premium won't be premium if it's a phone held by the masses?

I just fear that if these prices are the new "normal" in 2020 then how high will they reach in 2021? At some point it must end. People won't tolerate that BS - especially when the featuers we're getting are not even worth half of the selling price or the fact that useless features such as 100 x space zoom are added to the mix. I'd rather take my chances and skip out on said space zoom and save 100 bucks or more..
If they are gonna charge 1400 dollars then that phone better be perfect out of the box with no useless features or withholding of features such as the option to enable 120 hz refresh rate with QHD+ res.
Do these companies think we are stupid?
Even with Google services installed I would not spend that much money for a phone. It spiraled out of control for sure.
Now, given there is no G Services and no banking and so allowed on this phone I don't know what big H thinks. This phone is dead in the water right from the start. No zillion camera will save.
All I see around is Huawei and Honor phones are heavily discounted for the same reason so I don't get it how can such prices can be dictated. Absurd.
This phone only appeals to enthusiasts, just a handful of people.
I have the P30 Pro, although it lacks top display resolution, gcam, jack, some extra sensors, it's a very polished experience, as fast as when I bought it with 2 day battery autonomy. But really, it sells used , in good condition, for about 400 euro. Now this new gadget is 1000 euro approximately... I can keep the p30 pro and buy a Panasonic gm1 micro 4/3 with 20mm f/1.7 and a 12-32mm lens at around 300g for a net superior photography experience... And still have some money... I'm passing this year with these absurd prices, maybe when they will put 1inch sensor or I will break my phone...
Dessert3394, 12 Mar 2020Damn!! Pricier than S20Everyone started to lash at Samsung when they launched the Ultra at 1300-1400 dollars.
Now the s20/s20+ is looking like a great buy considering the trend in 2020 flagships.
