Great read. I've been looking for major alternatives for Google because I'd hate to be trapped in that ecosystem. I love the open-source community and all that they do.

GSMArena, if you guys are ever bored, look into the eelo (or /e community) for a Google-free experience with advanced servers that prevent tracking. They've made great strides in offering app alternatives with a sick App Store.

I cannot agree 'AppGallery is trustworthy' without any proof. A new AppStore alternative is always risky.
AppGallery is trustworthy only when Huawei is trustworthy.
Is Huawei trustworthy? The answer can be found why it is banned from Google Services.

Very tedious.. for global market. I can't think of buying Huawei anymore as I rely on GMS.
