People here commenting about the price because of Google services the clearly you don't know how to use a phone to its full potential or are too cheap and just looking to comment nonsense
You can always install google services, there will always be workarounds to it.

SD865 is 2020 chipset. So K... moreSoC industry doesn't work the way you are saying. Kirin and Apple introduce SoC earlier and SD and exynos introduce later. SD and Kirin use same type of design except the kirin 990 (somehow Huawei decided to go with older cortex A76) .
Why don't you check Kirin 980(2018) and SD 855(2019) ? They both use same design.
And don't comment like a ignorant.
What is your logic for comparing 2 SoC released at 10 month gap and not comparing 2 SoC which were released almost the same time ?
Kirin 990 should be compared with SD 865 . This is how it works.

Huawei make OK phones, but nobody who can afford a Samsung or an Apple should buy a Huawei. There are plenty of cheap phone without the authoritarian baggage and potential security risks.

Obviously the battery of my Samsung aged better however cause 2.5 years later due to obvious reasons she goes out with the charger in the morning where I can get a 2nd day without charger when I forget to charge the Samsung overnight.

I understood that they were on the way to the iPhone, and I decided to build a Huawei ecosystem around me.
I did that ... I use P30 pro + matebook x pro + gt2.i ... It all works brilliantly!
Innovation is really only about Huawei in the last few years, the rest is just marketing and creeping up on it!
This is my personal opinion!
Look what the p40 family can do!
Nobody can catch up!

Not having Adoogle services on Huawei recently released devices is an advantage that I hope other manufacturers recognise as a benefit - from users' data privacy perspective.
Expunging Adoogle from one's life is as imperative as the World's attempts to halt SARS-CoV-2 infection rate.
Adoogle is the bigger threat to the World than the latter, as one can only desire to hand-wash themselves of the potent GOOG virus (NASDAQ ticker symbol).

My older phone shoots crispier photo... moreIf you shoot using Pro mode with RAW output and applied your own post processing using Adobe Lightroom, you will see the full potential of the S20 Ultra camera. It's not the hardware that has a problem, it's Samsung JPEG post processing that has a problem, it's holding back the camera hardware.

The S20 itself is amazing but the camera is very bad. I guess Huawei will be much better this year, again. Too bad they don't have google services.

In conditions of global economical meltdown and absence of Google services it is a very tough sell. The pricing is wrong indeed. If I was Huawei, I'd postpone the release for "better times".

P40 and Pro is fine, but PE's pricing is outrageous if you ask me. I'll most likely end up getting Mi 10 Pro unless PE will be at least $200 cheaper than this leaked price or come with camera array so good that it demolishes any other phones on the market right now.
