Exynos & tired design ... not a good combination.
Alas, Android tablets are rubbish. No OEM is ready to compete with the iPad.

I'm not sure why some people are under the impression that tablets are a dying segment. Honestly, they are probably the fastest growing smart product. Who doesn't have one or three? Who streams video to a 6.5" phone screen? Who writes papers on a 2.5" keyboard? Tablets represent a full-featured environment for much more than Snapchat and Spotify.

I know I probably represent a niche case, but I hope Samsung continues to produce medium spec. tablets such as this. I use a s/h Tab S 10.5 as an ebook reader, but it's just too big. A 7-8 inch tablet, FHD with USB C is all I need and this fits the bill perfectly...

Not much tablet apps left in Google Play either.

Nothing new with the specs or design. What's the point? Why don't you just take care of the updates of your current tablet lineups, Samsung?

They need to retire Exynos 7904.

They could have at least put the Exynos 9611 in. The 7904 is so slow..

PartTimePhoner, 19 Mar 2020I dunno man last years 2GB RAM Tab A10.1 had great optimisation and coukd as well race against A30I happen to buy that tablet and it was sluggish even with animations turned off. Even navigating through youtube was painful. Bought it for university, wouldn't recommend for multimedia or anything other than browsing.

Why 7904 in 2020; give something better. It's going to be sluggish from day one. Base variant ipads are much better Vfm.
