But my decent ips phone (htc u11) black is good enough for me.

What a waste of the SD865's performance. 120Hz IPS would've made this phone a beast like the Razer Phone. I want something new. All day all night OLED feels more premium than any IPS LCD on Smartphone. Both OLED and IPS have pros and cons and deppends on the consumer taste which one to choose.

This is such an awful decision to use 60Hz AMOLED. Makes zero sense in terms of futureproofing when SD865 can EASILY drive 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rates. How come they use 120Hz in the cheaper K30 model, yet the much more powerful SD865 gets half of that?
I mentioned in my previous posts that I wanted this phone to have IPS, but even for people who were hoping for AMOLED, I can see EVERYONE being disappointed with this when 90Hz is becoming commonplace for flagships in 2020.
Can't believe they ruined such a perfect phone!

Stop this OLED madness. Not everyone is a fan of oversaturated colours. AMOLED induce headache at low brightness due to flickering and to mitigate this effect a dc dimming feature needs to be implemented. AMOLED can also suffer from burn ins due to high brightness and especially if you play games for hours at medium to high brightness. A high refreshing and colour accurate LCD is anyday better than AMOLED. I hope the K20 Pro is launched with 120 Hz LCD. Maybe then I'll buy it.

This is not acceptable and purely a ploy to keep costs low since AMOLED 120HZ 1080P display costs much more.
2020 is the year of high refresh rate displays.
Even 200 dollar devices have it.

60hz won't be future proof since the typical lifespan of a phone is at least two years. Who knows what the next android versions might pack of features that utilize high refresh rates displays

Gorgeous 84x48 screen (anything beyond is a gimmick wasting precious battery!), one black color (millions of colors are gimmick wasting precious battery!), 10hz screen (high refresh rates are gimmicks wasting precious battery!), no touchscreen (useless tech wasting precious battery!)
Nokia 3310 lasts a whole month on a single charge because it doesn't have any of those useless modern gimmicks, yay!

It's an oled panel it doesn't have an independent backlight so it's gonna have serious color curve problems

In fact, you already have that option: it's called a Mi 10.
