My first ever xiaomi device!
The specs and build quality for the price I paid was mind blowing. The only downside for me was how ugly MIUI was.
Still using it after 4 years, lol
I posted this comment by my Kate.,:) still very good phone among the note series. Since 2017, phone battery backup ( SOT is approximately 6 hrs using pie rom) and speed everything is nice except my power button.
Bought this phone(3/32 kenzo) after owning a galaxy s3(i9300) and in all departments, except the camera i got an upgrade. Only downside is that after 14-16 montgs the sd slot stopped recognizing cards, so now i'm stuck with 32gb. Still a great phone and the only successor on the market to it to this day is the poco f1(because you can go diddle yourself with that glass back).

Agree the battery was awful, could only get 2 hrs sot on and battery over heated like crazy. Decent looking phone and good screen but marred by bad battery and very average performance, and the software at that time was very unpolished. Good to see that's not the case anymore for Xiaomi phones
Still is my main phone after 4 years, the battery isn't in a great condition but still works 😄
A beautiful phone even in today's standards.
My first Xiaomi phone, RN3 pro 3/32.
I had Experia Z3 3/16 (sd801) and RN outpreformed Z3 in all fields except camera.

I couldn't find a Redmi Note 3 (Dec '16) so opted for the smaller Redmi 3S Prime SD 425 3 32, instead. I was so impressed with it so that I am still using it, and will continue using it, despite getting a Max 2 then a Mi8- in preference to the Pocophone -. I intended to get the Max 4 but have instead, settled for the Max 3 as that line has been discontinued.
Each phone type has its strengths, the Mi8 the being the best compromise followed by the Max 3's humongous screen, the dated small screen of the 3S now being it's biggest drawback.
still rocking this bad boy
I've been using it for 3.5 years now. Apart from a slightly lower battery life and a bit hiccup here and there, the phone is still running great.
I'm still using it till now
The Redmi Note 2 was sh1t, I bought it and it is still the worst phone I've ever used..
The battery was abysmal and it can't even play the simplest of games without hanging and stuttering,it was so bad I gave it out after 3 months..
No wonder Xiaomi had to introduce the Note 3 after a few months..
I'm surprised to see the year 2015 as flashback in 2020.
BTW I'm using Redmi Note 4 and I don't want to see this in next week's flashback article.
I was still using mine until a few months ago. It became a bit laggy in the end and would keep running hot but it was a great phone while it lasted. It's a shame Redmi have followed the trend in growing their smartphone sizes to gigantic monstrosities though because otherwise I probably would have stuck to the Redmi brand.
My very first xiaomi, I loved that phone. Won't lie, going from that to the redmi note 4x felt like a downgrade, SoC and camera wise.
My first Xiaomi phone. This was a beast on the midrange segment with aggressive pricing. Balanced performance and great camera and battery life.
Boy I sure do miss the aluminium backs. Not only that it absolutely couldn't break (like the glass backs we get these days), it also looked SO MUCH better. These days half of the phones look like toys for 7 year old girls... I understand it's cheaper but I'd definitely pay extra to have a full metal body like my old HTC 10.
Absolutely great phone! Both my mum and dad used one each for over 3 years until one phone died after falling in the sea. My brother got the other one handed over and is still using it. The phone would be 4 years old this May!
