Anonymous, 23 Mar 2020Not acceptable for a flagship? Yeah ok lololololol Ofcourse its not acceptable, idk why u are laughing at his comment. The performance between the 2 chipsets are on 2 different levels with the exynos being the inferior one. No rational person would like to pay the same price for a piece of good that is inferior to its counterpart. Furthermore these flagships usually cost alot and inconsistency should not be allowed. Hope you finally understand
Anonymous, 21 Mar 2020Nope. Yeah it shows that Qualcomm has the edge still. But doesn't prove anything you claim...o... moreOverall its not acceptable performance for a flagship especially when they are charging so much. Do you have the phone personally? Coz I am not buying Exynos variant of ultra after this. Waiting for the Find X2 pro which will be 400 dollars cheaper in my country compared to 512gb variant of the Ultra.
Switching this year from the S10 to Oppo due to subpar Exynos variant and extremely high price.
The Exynos last year wasn't that bad but this is getting worse after every generation.
Throttling issues need to be addressed with better cooling out of the box like Redmi series and other gaming phones.
So how about you tell Samsung to try again.
Every alternate year, I come back to Samsung, so probably the S21 series should be good.
Flgshp2020, 21 Mar 2020There you go..
https://youtu.be/6CUSe8kgIE8Nope. Yeah it shows that Qualcomm has the edge still. But doesn't prove anything you claim...or that he is for that matter. He's talking it up to be such a huge difference but the results say otherwise.
It falls behind mostly in gpu when it starts to throttle. And that's not because the Mali g77 gpu is not powerful or cannot keep up.
That's the area where Samsung tanked. They stuck to 11 cores and probably a higher clock rate.
It even kept up perfectly fine on the one hand through dolphin emulator. The next game where it dropped a lot was Coral an optimization issue.
GameCube emulation for instance ran better on the note 10 than s20...both snap...probably due to optimizing.
Anonymous, 21 Mar 2020The video you linked has nothing to do with anything related to snap vs exy. There you go..
fruitcake, 20 Mar 2020Was so excited about the S20 models, until i watched a superb video on you tube, explaining what... moreMiles? It's not miles behind in anything. And I promise you can't provide a single link to even come close to proving such a childish claim lmfao.
Anonymous, 20 Mar 2020They should drop exynos for a and m series tooDrop what's been better in most cases for no reason??
Asphalt-nation, 20 Mar 2020"will use the S865, at least at the US"
This whole exynos thing is so disrespectful to EU c... moreYeah so disrespectful that they use their own chip that is pretty much on par right now. And for the first 8 out of the past prior 10 generations was overall more ahead.
And was only behind the past two because they opted for a new design that focused on new larger cores. Which they had to design from ground up. And I'm those two gens we saw initial heat and power issues that are normal for such a feat.
The same as apple struggled for the first few gens if designing large cores to keep the heat and power efficiency at Bay. Or when Qualcomm dove in 8 cores with the s810 and it was a throttle monster.
But Samsung was moving forward and between this and next gen would have bright great strides.
So 1 through 8 exynos was overall superior. A few times in even gpu. And for 9 and 10 were still good flagship chips but fell a bit behind the other flagship chips. For a beneficial developing reason.
And here on gen 11 they are back to about on par.
So what are you crying about exactly?????
Anonymous, 20 Mar 2020Drop exynos from S, Note and flex phones. Just keep for A and M. Why? Should they have dropped Snapdragon for the first 5 to 8 years?
Anonymous, 20 Mar 2020They are using mediatek for new a series.A51 has Exynos and A71 has Snapdragon.
Anonymous, 20 Mar 2020They should drop exynos for a and m series tooThey are using mediatek for new a series.
Yes, ship it with SD865 only. No Exynos.
Huge difference overall in the galaxy s20 series.
No surprise that there will be a 865 compatibility, maybe it will include the 865+ too and the code just isn't up yet, or maybe the 865+ don't have any difference other than higher frequency and the code work the same for both.
What I really am waiting for is to know what fingerprint reader will the Note 20 use, will Samsung go full retard again and use the outdated and problematic 3D Sonic like on the S20 which will contribute to give an unjustified bad name to sonic FPS, or will they be not stupid enough (we can't talk about being "smart" here because it is a no brainer) to actually use the heavily and seriously upgraded 3D Sonic Max which is ONLY the best fingerprint scanner ever done for any portable device...
I hope they take the 3D Sonic Max and that it will really show to everyone how amazing ultrasonic underdisplay (or not) FPS are, mainly the monster that have many time more precision, can differentiate between flat and 3D image, have a large scanning area (so practical, that's what I always wanted with UD FPS, its stupid to make a UD FPS with a tiny readable area) that enable the use of 2 finger at once seriously increasing security, and other great things from this amazing scanner !
Maybe it will push more manufacturers to use the 3D Sonic Max or make their own equivalent, and it will be the most glorious day ever for Smartphone's fingerprint scanner !
Sadly it all depend on Samsung to not screw up as they will be the one responsible for the reputation of sonic FPS.
Was so excited about the S20 models, until i watched a superb video on you tube, explaining what the difference is using the Samsung made chips and the Snapdragon 865,and the Samsung made chips are miles behind in nearly everything than the Snapdragon one,it amazed me how bad the chips made by Samsung struggle to compete at all ,and in Europe we get the Samsung made chips, phone heating up and battery life draining,so now will not be throwing my money away from phones that not performing right,Samsung things there as good as Apple but there miles behind them,Why?can"t they just use the Snapdragon chips to please everyone

"will use the S865, at least at the US"
This whole exynos thing is so disrespectful to EU customers.
Like you can have the phone, but you're paying the same price for
a much weaker chipset. Not cool sammy, not cool.
The only reason why this works is that most Samsung buyers
aren't tech heads, so they just don't get it.
