Heck the LG V60 provides manual mode for 8k video too.
S20 gives pro mode in videos out of the box too. A few others provide manual mode for videos too (if not by default then definitely through third party apps).
IPhone definitely lacks pro mode in videos.
BTW, put most of these high end smartphones on a gimball and it can shoot some great videos.

These guys go on vacations carrying these big cameras, only to shoot in Auto mode,SMH.

Oh wait, they don't support raw video files and hence can't be used in serious video processing as the image quality degradation is obvious on the large screen.

Who on earth uses auto mode on a dSLR? Noobs who know nothing about photography?
That said, I agree with you, for those who are not serious about photography and knows nothing about photography, the computational photography far outstrips auto-mode of any camera.
But when one is serious about image quality, nothing can match up to a dSLR (or medium format or large format) at this moment.

I am being honest, and I love the phone. After some software updates, the main lens has become decent on colours, but zoom lens still mediocre at best, and besides that, the RYYB lens, while amazing for night shots, is useless under street lamps, especially sodium lamps. It just absorbs way too much yellow. In fact, that's probaby why colours suffer on the P30 Pro.

I wouldn't buy a phone with the best camera if it meant not having the best other specs. For example, the Mi Note 10 Pro. However I wouldn't buy a top of the line phone if it didn't have one of the best cameras either. Like for example I really wanted the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT almost half a year ago when it went on sale for $220 due to it having the Snapdragon 855 and an amazing bezel-less display, but I didn't get it due to it having pretty bad cameras.

KnightX, 21 Mar 2020Lol jealous much! Another year another crushing defeat by Huawei's camera system! I don't think the majority of people buy a phone just for the camera. I would rather have a good phone with an okay camera and when I need more than that, I would go and buy a dedicated one.
Yeah, I'm jealous of Huawei. He has got so many interesting toys.

These are photos in all conditions and iPhone struggles in dynamic range compared to other others coz of small sensor. Also it gives worse details in low light.
Besides telephoto on both Xiaomi and s20 ultra are terrific, the Ultra being even better.
IPhone is miserable when it comes to zoom.
