Maybe mo... moreAdding on top of my previous post, there really doesn't need to be many variants of phones. Just separate them based on BUDGET and on SIZE. In total, I think the entire industry (over 99% of users) can be served well with only 8-12 variants of phones. Have a glance down below, and then let me know what you think. Cheers!

The only thing you can control is your response.

Maybe moving on, in 2021 the Luxury Phone prices (Google/iPhone) and the High-end Phone prices (OnePlus/Xiaomi) will drop. Also, maybe we will lose many variants on the market, less options, boosting competition. That way things will be simpler, and OEMs can throw more resources at making a few variants great, instead of many variants good. We don't need more eWaste.
Case in point: Motorola released more than 15 variants in the last 6 months!!

With your example - people who buy an 1200$ phones will be buying the same luxury ones and those who buy a 200$ devices will have to learn how to live without phones... :-/
Who cases? People seems more interested in... stockpiling of toilet paper rather than buying new phones anyway.
Forget $1200 phones... the future will be on cheaper phones no more than $200, it will be a gigantic global recession and it will last a good couple of years.
Haha, in March actually will be even worse...
Good. Phones will get cheaper.
Come on, who's gonna change their phone to a new product with a few (or without) improvement/innovation amid this crisis situation
Adul Al Salami Kebab, 21 Mar 2020Less phones made = less pollution... Maybe the planet tells us to GTFO?People's fault.
I think people should buy new one when they few phone needs to be replaced.
Not just because next generation is better.
I've heard of people that buy new one every 6 months.
Enough with this kind of robbery
Oh lets start to cry, xiamiau and smasung isnt going to release 20 different but same phones monthly. You have to stick with your 64mp phone instead of the latest 64,1mp one. You are not going to have the latest HW what differs 0,000001% from the previous gen. I hope the market is going to fall much more, it is already well deserved.
Less phones made = less pollution... Maybe the planet tells us to GTFO?
