Jaeger, 23 Mar 2020Good performance, for a midranger. The problem I see is the lack of GMS. Despite all the rants... moreBut huawei is offering app search for download apps, you can download every apps from that
Anonymous, 25 Mar 2020Not to forget that Kirin along with Exynos are the worst culprits when it comes to throttling ... moreHuawei has a performance mode which minimises throttling. For a stock phone exynos is the worst.

Atleast on Exynos devices, some guys managed to change cpu tuning Algorithms, changing governors via Root, thereby reducing the throttling and improving battery life.
With Huawei, you have to wait for the company to fix the issue (if at all they fix it). No way to take matters in your own hands.
Mediatek sux, 24 Mar 2020Graphical bugs and poor performance in high end emulators are a given with a mali gpu. Exactly, so it's nice to brag about those Geekbench scores but will it perform like SD 855 in real world usage and gaming? I doubt it.
I'll wait for AnTuTu and see how much the GPU scores.
Mediatek sux, 24 Mar 2020Depends on the pricing of the phone that comes with it. Huawei has had a lot of time to work w... moreOne can certainly be better while doing something for the second time. Like using cortex A76 twice in Kirin flagship SoC.
Now. This post has already proven wrong and I was right to doubt on this.
kirin 820 is just better than SD765.
Shadocx, 23 Mar 2020Well, my OnePlus 7(SD855) does 3600 single core score in Geekbench 4, I wonder which phone did... moreGraphical bugs and poor performance in high end emulators are a given with a mali gpu.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2020it doesn't even come close to the S855, geekbench is not the only test. If you test them in... moreIn both geekbench and spec, you can usually see the samr results, apple dominating the top 3 spots and kirin and qulacomm about the same.

AnonD-754814, 23 Mar 2020This news is super confusing. I don't think the leak is true. It's not logical at all. Depends on the pricing of the phone that comes with it. Huawei has had a lot of time to work with the a76, 990 5g is the best a76 implementation. Qualcomm probably went lazy on midrangers.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2020Another beast from huawei That's why the daughter of Huawei owner own an Apple iPhone and iPad Pro. Beast but somehow she rather use another company phone
So....finally Huawei has started a new trend of giving 4 big cores to midrange SoC's ....just wait for others to release their midrange SoC's with 4 big cores too and then compare
this is very strange information!
sd855 and kirin990 are almost the same in benchmarks..... so this means that kirin820 is also outperforming kirin990?!
Damn a mid range faster than last years flagship, if priced $400-500 its a killer
From my experience, i know that kirin processors are very very power efficient. Kirin 980 & 990 make your phone fly (even another than oneplus devices).
I hope other Chinese OEMs start using Kirin processors coz I find them better than Snapdragon / exynos counterpart in terms of performance, speed, thermal, & battery life
