Why Sony is hiding these latest image sensors
They deserve the same hype as the IMX 586
and the custom sensors are being hyped by
Different brands for IMX 689 one plus
The problem is that this article says the Samsung ISOCELL S5K3T2 is a 20 megapixel sensor, not the 12MP that Sony says is on the 70mm camera:
If true, this would raise a lot of questions on what Sony is doing behind the scenes to get a "70mm" focal length and implications on video shooting as well.
Can we get a confirmation from any Xperia 1 ii owners to see if this is true?

Samsung always oversharpens the pictures. Apple always gives warmer and over exposure than needed. They are never good in Manual. Apple doesn't even have a special manual mode :).
They are good in AI and produces better than Sony. But in Manual mode, Sony is always the best. Especially with the cinema Pro and photo pro, it is going to rip the Apple and Samsung in camera segment. And yes, Sony cameras are great and still all mobiles (except few mediocre camera sensors) uses Sony sensors.

Senseurheart Kimochi, 27 Mar 2020Which latest smartphone come with Zeiss lens and Zeiss T*-coating? Can anyone tell me? what's the point of having good hardwares but with Bad image processing software?
Competitors use lower quality hardwares but they always produce better image quality than sony.
Some of the key features which u don't find in Samsung:
-4K HDR Display
- 4k HDR recording at 60fps & 2k recording at 120fps
- God tier 20 fps AF/AE with Eye AF
- Legendary Zeiss lens
- Largest pixel sensor size by any smartphone
- 21:9 display
- Sexy design without ugly notches and punch holes (+ fits good in one hand)
- Fast processor unlike lousy exynos (SD by samsung is only released in USA)
- dual front end speakers
- 360 degree audio function + Dolby Atmos tuned by Sony pictures/Music
-Photo pro & Cinema Pro
- Camera shutter button
Key fetaures compared to last year Xperia 1:
- 8GB ram
- Wireless charging
- Headphones jack + no audio losses like in BT
- Motionblur reduction (90Hz equivalent)
- power button as fingerprint scanner
- UFS 3.0
PS: Last year 6GB Xperia and iPhone performed on par with 12GB ram Samsung and OnePlus in speed test. This also proves how crap Samsung and OP ram management is. Anything over 8GB ram is nonsense (even with 3 chrome tabs open). Over 12Gb is stupidity and where Mr.Silly lives

UFS 3.1 comes by the end of this year (People can wait till next year if storage speed is what you'll need). ALso always samsung has better storage speed with same tech, so I wouldn't be surprised if Samsung UFS 3.0 is better than other companies.
Hey even 2.1 is not bad. But yeah 3.1 will definetly be the best but who will wait for another year.

Didn't you know that? Maybe do a little more research.
Sony is simply inferior in fast charging technology.

The difference is, dash starts out around 4amps, warp starts around 5.5. Both end up settling around 3.5. I've found when charging without using the phone, the temps look pretty much the same (you can see a history of battery temp in gsam). However when using the phone while it's charging, dash charger does a better job of keeping the temps low with a minimal trade off in charge time. Personally I'll be sticking with the dash charger."
Well yes. If you pump a lot of voltage to batteries you decrease the number of cycles. Every 0.1V less in battery doubles the number of available cycles before degradation. Especially after 85%, if you fast charge your battery, say good bye to your battery life.
So there you go. The answer. It still validates my comment. Guess some people need to go back to recall the basics of physics.
