samsung sensors???...such a dissapointment...sony is well known for camera sensors.going for samsung means that they dont trust their sensors
I wanted to upgrade my S8+ to S20+ or Ultra, but there's no 3.5mm jack.
Sorry Samsung, I'm ditching you for Sony.
Yeah baby, the Jack is back! Can't wait to buy it! :)
PS No 3.5mm and no SD card slot = NOT INTERESTED!
If you are not the owner of a brand, why support it?! There's absolutely no profit for you. Think about it..
Also, I have zero interest in replica brands with locked bootloaders or no open-source OS.
Anonymous, 26 Mar 2020My sister still has her Redmi Note 3 since 2016.
No battery degradation beyond 10%.
She stil... moreWhy you so angry pal? if its Qnovo compliant 50w, sure. and btw i'm Xiaomi user.
I owned redmi note 3 and Mipad 1st gen, i replace my redmi note 3 after around 2 year of use and i got problem with its charging port (most possibly my fault, i work on construction at the time and i got rained a lot) and i need a phone with better camera for my work (it unable to take eligible document pic or functional night photo).
I change to Redmi Note 5 ai, which have by far greater camera compared to Redmi note3 but right now after 1.5 year of use, i have charging problem, from sometimes it takes serious amount of time to charge via Fast charging 2 and it heats up during charging with Fast charging 3.
Once in a while it also got some sort of heating bug, where it for unknown reason start to seriously heats up. The grey market technician check my phone and points out to possibly software problem.
Right now, it somehow lost its ability to power my external DAC, so currently in the market to buy another one. I was waiting for Redmi K30 (for its sony sensor) to be official in my place, but it haven't been released till now, so possibly i want to wait for Redmi Note 9 Pro Max or i might buy Redmi note 8 pro or RealMe 6 pro (for its tele lens).
No note, both of my sister and brother in law is using Redmi Note 8 pro and so far its great.
Anonymous, 26 Mar 2020you pay that much of money for a useless feature that u can't enjoy. You maybe don't have an idea how delightful to have an xperia with 4k screen.
Not bad, just too late. 1,5 years behind others, high price is a wonder.
My z2 quality was very bad. Camera was bad. Screen was bad. Design was bad.
That was the last time i use sony. Sorry sony.. i dont trust your phones anymore. Chinese phones are more valuable than your phones.
AnonD-754814, 26 Mar 2020Probably they are not Sony fans. There are some guys with multiple accounts or multiple users ... moreTrue, these guys just pounce on anybody giving minor criticism about their favorite brand.
Maybe they should just redirect all this energy in buying those Sony phones coz the sales definitely don't reflect the same kinda enthusiasm.
r31ya, 26 Mar 2020when everyone goes fast charging, Sony goes better physical battery life with QNovo tech.
It'... moreMy sister still has her Redmi Note 3 since 2016.
No battery degradation beyond 10%.
She still GETS an average of 7hr SOT with 4000mah battery.
So take your lies about Chinese Batteries detoriating somewhere else.
Chinese manufacturers are pioneers in fast charging tech. They are miles ahead of some Qnovo garbage.
Sony simply is behind the curve.
Will you still complain when Sony gives you 50W charging? I bet you won't.
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA to all those people who say Samsung should stop making camera sensors and only use Sonys, even Sony use Samsung sensors :D
Just a heads-up as S5K3T2 is 1/3.4", a slight disappointment. Xiaomi's 1/2.3" 2x is probably better overall.

well, from my personal experience, al... moreLol, have the s10 currently, battery life and performance has improved now after a year with several updates.
None of the other Samsung users are facing battery degradation issues.
[deleted post]They had to bring the updates for the Price poeple Paid 1500$ but still everyone agreed that S20 Ultra ain't the best in the market :). It is still behind iPhone 11 and Pixel 4 in Overall camera Performance :)
I think People arguing over ppi are forgetting here that Sony has 4K HDR Display and not just ordinary OLED dispaly. High Resolution Needs more ppi for the end result to be best and better than other Competitive smartphones. If People say 4K Display is useless on Smartphone, I can argue 120Hz and 108MP is also useless on a Smartphone.
Because at the end of the day, no one Play with notification bar 24/7 to check 120Hz refresh rate or scrolls down Twitter all day. If I give you 60Hz seperately, they wouldn't even able to notice it until it is put side by side.
108MP with Pixel binning is equal to 12MP. Tbh Sony's Approach of largr sensor makes more sense than Pixel binning. No other Smartphone has 1/1.7 sensor size in the market Right now.
There's Nothing to hate, Sony Xperia 1 II is aimed at all rounder with professional photographers and videographers. Not for insta/twitter lads. So Peace :)
PS: Sony used to have over 800 ppi in the past, now they reduced that number to over 650 ppi :)
Mr. Anonymous, 26 Mar 2020Other than sequential scores (don't matter in real life), my P30 with ufs 2.1 has better scores. But the tech behind UFS 2.1 and UFS 3.0 is different. So number doesn't matter when it Comes to real life Performance. Also the Maximum sequential read Speed for UFS 2.1 is 1200 MB/s. So your Information About UFS 2.1 faster than the mentioned numbers are misleading.

But, no, I'm not talking about "VR" - because a system that consists of helmet/goggles with displays, headphones and controllers is not a [virtual reality]. It doesn't transfer your mind in [virtual] space making you sense it like [reality] - which is definition of a proper [virtual reality] (yeah, the one that so far exists only in fiction).

"the best that the industry can offer" - even if it's totally unnecessary and pointless? xD

Witch would be right ... it's like making headphones with RGB ... that you never see because you have it on your head etc.
There is a sense and nonsense when it comes to desing and PR departement. I believe most of us would appreciate more better sun readibility than having 4K wasted on 6,5" display ... like having the best snowboard in the world on Sahara.
