Yeah I get it, it's rather expensive, but saying that it's not selling because of that is rather silly. The pandemic is the real thing that slowed down the market.
Nowadays people only buy food, cleaning and protection products, not the latest tech gadget.
If you can't see that, then you're blind..
a rehash product with inferior battery, and slight improvement and a $1000 price tag, of coures people aren't buying that. Only Apple can get a way with this kinda thing to some extend.
These guys are professional with the best degrees.
I can't believe they missed the opportunity that happens once every decade.
It's the year 2020 where people are excited and willing to PAY for new technologies.
Instead the offered technology that smells 2010-2019. They didn't get advantage of the YEAR !!!!!!! OF THE DECADE ! OF THE FRESHNESS !
Now enjoy your 60% and learn your lesson FOR THE NEXT DECADE in 2030.
I hope apple reads my message and launches a 2020-like model.
This is literally almost exclusively attributed to their price and little upgrade over phones that people already had. If you look at the stores, consumer electronics are selling so fast that the supply is having trouble catching up. The S20 got priced so high that it's behaving more like a luxury good, and nobody needs or will need these anytime soon.
GSMArena is giving Samsung a huge service by biasing the reasons behind this lack of demand in its first sentence despite having 0 evidence that it's in any way linked to the decline, which I'd argue is almost entirely attributed to the lack of interest for for the price they are charging.
That isn't that bad if you ask me considering the pandemic. I guess people with deep pockets are buying new stuff to keep them entertained at home
COVID-19 is just an excuse. Samsung raised price $250-350 over S10 and the phone wasn't much improved.
Is it applicable to Philippines also?
marclee37, 27 Mar 2020The biggest aspect of upgrade a user can feel and use is an increased storage capacity. S20... moreLike I still can't fathom why the Note6 never came to life but was "aborted"... though for strange unknown reasons the S6 family somehow came to be alive...:'(

over priced far too expansive. Well done people for not buying at these prices. Im not saying the're not good phones im saying the're not worth the asking price.
Technology has reached a peak that new next gen flagships are only marginally better than the previous one. So its about time software support lasted a minimum of 5 years on all phones to get some life out of existing phones. Not just 2 or 3 years that some do forcing you to buy a newer one sooner than need be.
Phone is the best but prices are too high to buy and that also in this market where everywhere is corona people will keep money for themselves and not to buy the phone
If people are crazy for upgrade just for camera then I think they are fool just stick to the phone what they are using if anyone using s10 then I think he shouldn't upgrade for s20
- Expensive
- Crappy Samsung's exynos processor instead of Snapdragon ( the reason why i skipped s20)
- No headphonejack
Did i miss anything to mention here?
Anonymous, 27 Mar 2020The era of milking $1k for phones came and went quickly lol. You'd be surprised how many Koreans actually pay $1000+ upfront for their phones.
Hint: only a few of them. Because it does not feel "expensive" if you get them thru data plans.
Well see next time with the S21 if recession comes and/or common sense prevail.
Osiris, 27 Mar 2020No heart rate sensor, no headphone jack, no notification led light, yeah blame it on corona lolTo some extent, yes it actually is about corona. And making s20 software features pushed down to the s10 lineup. :)
Shadocx, 27 Mar 2020Yep, I'm talking about the 4G variants.4G? that's sooo last decade... You've got to go 5G! OK ya!
The era of milking $1k for phones came and went quickly lol.
Are they surprised? $1400 with autofocus issue and gimmicky 100x zoom/8k video
well its good for everyone
for the very first its crap
expensive
zero difference between the previous s10
audio jack missing
fugly design
camera marketing
Perhaps they should really rethink their awful pricing strategy?
