If the s... moreNo, Huawei, Xiaomi and all the other companies make money because they already make enough money in China and then they can just show up and flood the markets of whichever country they're allowed in due to their massive production capabilities. I will take Huawei over Xiaomi, though, especially because I really like their cameras. But I still think it's unfair to compare brands from western countries to Chinese brands simply because the Chinese can out produce everyone. Also, Xperia 1 II isn't out, but yes it won't be a best seller regardless of how good a phone it ends up being.

Sadly, at least in my country, you buy the phone you can afford, not the one you want most of the time. I'm probably the exception because of financial means, but it's still very pricey to buy Sony here. I'm still gonna buy it anyways because all of my phones have been from them, and I trust the hardware and software. Plus, I can always dick around with a buddy who wants an S20 Ultra and mock argue over who has the best phone lol

well.. sometimes i... moreI don't trolling, I refer sources to review those phone. Their camera phone are oversaturated and punchy color, use too much image stacking for HDR purposes, it is not my reviews but from some reviewer/youtuber.

Image stacking no only can found ghosting but also image loosing, refer this link and duration: 5:00 for example the Samsung S20 Ultra and Pixel 4 XL image stacking lost the chain, their image stacking in automode are not intelligent. By the way tell me how much they cost for the camera like this?

Past few years they tried so many different strategies but failed to achieve the success they want. When they were merged with Ericsson they invented the best smartphones with affordable price tag with unique features. Now they are just trying to sell the brand name with ordinary smartphones and with a higher price tag. :(

Xperia costs as much as other to be made. Samsung has many in-house stuff, they get cheaper compared to other brands that buy same components. This is why iphone hardware costs as much of galaxy note despite being inferior.
No, you cannot copy software. Also Bionz on Sony is the image processor, not image processing software. Same thing with X1 Extreme/Ultimate on TVs. Porting to another device would be much easier than creating something from zero. There is no "any great engineer can do it".

they treated xperia as if it doesnt bring something new on the table, but a "small" feature from other phones are celebrated... they always say that a feature is "not needed" when xperia introduce them... but says you cant live without it when other brands have it...
glass sandwich design were already present from the first z phone...
an ordinary pencil can be used on z ultra (wait, somebody havent done this yet?)... ok "not needed"...
face unlock... i have it from xperia miro, a lower midrange when it was released... but of course the technology is not yet mature...
ip68 rating, people say, it is "not needed"... but look at most flagships now... wait, it is now used by some midrangers...
superslowmo, the organic one... look when samsung adapts it, people say wow... and most superslowmo are "not organic"... they use interpolation to fill the missing frames, blurry implementation... and look some even implements slower superslowmo so now it is needed...
i wonder if 3D capture will be adapted by other phones...
eye autofocus are not needed since others do not follow suit "yet"
and here, xperia is on its second iteration of eye autofocus which includes animals... ok "not needed"...
4k display? "not needed"...
dynamic vibration? "not needed"...
...
so, yeah... everything new on sony xperia 1 mk ii is "not needed"
