joe nodden, 27 Mar 2020It's literally hundreds more than in China. Why? I and pretty much nobody else will buy this.Good question why it is that expensive.
joe nodden, 27 Mar 2020It's literally hundreds more than in China. Why? I and pretty much nobody else will buy this. This is the same for all the Chinese brands. No import taxes in China but high import duties in Europe. Also China is their home market and it is more efficient cheaper for them to provide customer service than in foreign countries. The other Chinese brands, Oneplus, Huawei, Oppo and Vivo follow very similar pricing strategies. All are much cheaper in China
Pro5_0nr, 27 Mar 2020The cost is not that much different. This is not the Mi Note 10 Pro, that phone is a mid-range... moreMi 10 Pro starts at CNY4,999 ($715/€657) in China. Compare that to the 1000€ requested in Europe. I'm pretty sure he was not comparing it to Note 10 Pro.
It's ~33% more expensive than the China version. OK, you can add taxes but still more than 20% it's just moronic from Xiaomi.
I was really considering Mi10Pro for my next phone but at this price I'll get back to ether Samsung (S20+) or OnePlus (8Pro).
Dude, 27 Mar 2020That's a good joke. I predict 10 sales.I expect at least 20, from which 19 will be Xiaomi employees who get it with 90% discount and 1 guy who woke up from coma from 2015 and still thinks Xiaomi offers flagship features for half the flagship price
Davy Jones, 27 Mar 2020Overpriced but the Mi 10 seems like a better choice compared to P40 Totally depends on your priorities. If you want the better overall cameras, better signal and call quality, faster 5g speeds, and a more compact phone, and fewer software bugs, then the p40 is the way to go.
For those who prioritize screen and speakers and a faster processor for gaming, then Xiaomi is the way to go.
Difficult to say one is better than the other
Alex 94, 27 Mar 2020Why not? If others can put 1000€ price, they also can. With 4 spot on global market, Xiaomi is ... moreFiat sells more cars than Rolls-Royce, but I wouldn't exactly call Fiat Multipla a luxury car.
€900 for a phone with ultra-useless useless depth and macro sensors (aka fake sensors for $100 doogee phones)... Mamma mia, what a joke! RIP Xiaomi
joe nodden, 27 Mar 2020It's literally hundreds more than in China. Why? I and pretty much nobody else will buy this. The cost is not that much different. This is not the Mi Note 10 Pro, that phone is a mid-range device which is far cheaper but still uses this same 108mp sensor from the samsung s20.
It's crazy how often the Mi 10 pro is confused with the Mi Note 10 pro. Xiaomi REALLY screwed up with those 2 names! It's far too confusing!
Buy the Chinese version, install global software.
Live with widevine 3 support, but sabe hundreds of euros and buy a tablet maybe.
Mi 10 pro is better deal than gimmicky P40 pro except for the camera and IP68
What a rubbish company. No wonder they fired all the people involved with the POCO F1 as they no longer intend to do affordable phones with flagship chipset.
Codrut, 27 Mar 2020:)) a big joke.. Miui for 800 euro.. Actually I prefer MIUI over One UI and EMUI... Prefer built in features in it... MIUI is most feature rich mobile OS atm... And if you start arguing about Chinese apps and ads , you didn't use MIUI or you didn't use global version of it .... I switched from p20 pro to mi note 10... An midrange device, and guess what? I didn't regret... I honestly looking for Mate 40 probably... but it Xiaomi release some mi 10t or something like that, i will be happy to consider buying it... Samsung for example, hyped me with ultra but it outcomes ultra on paper.... So i gave up... Apple isn't consideration because of ecosystem.... So have you some suggestions for me?
Seriously, even tho Mi 10 Pro is better in many aspects compared to S20, but People will go for S20 because it is Samsung, has IP rating, COMPACT, 120Hz dynamic amoled. But Mi 10 Pro has double storage, 108mp main cam, tele cam, and faster charging.
Still, S20 is more worthy than this.
Its amazing this phone is actually "hitting" Europe with coronavirus on the rampage... paralyzing most economies around the world. I'm sure it will sell in droves...
Overpriced but the Mi 10 seems like a better choice compared to P40
good joke Xiaomi, 1000 bucks for a phone when you get the S20+ for the same price, no1 in europe will buy the pro version no1
