That "leaked" photo... isnt that clearly redmi note 8 pro? Anyway the trend is making the cameras packed in rectangular position..why stay the same like redmi8
Aryan, 30 Mar 2020MT G80 must really be a solid chipset if it has so many devices lining up for it !Xiaomi and Realme use G80 chips because they are on "fire-sale", and there are no other 4G chips left that they can use for 4G phones.
Finally a decent smartphone after the Note 9 disappointment ! MT Helio G80 seems to be coming with a lot of devices !

I see a lot of smartphones with Mediatek Helio G80 chipset coming up. Waiting for something with Mediatek helio g90.
The real news is MediaTek helio G80 chipset that goes under the hood. Even the Realme 6i smartphone and Realme Narzo 10 have the same chipset.
sohail shafayat, 29 Mar 2020quad camera, one is a depth sensor, one is a useless macro, one is a fugking wide-angle, so ul... moreyeah instead of that triple useless extra camera.
put a decent single camera
like what Red Magic 3S, Red Magic 3 or even Red Magic
they put 1 single camera in back
Red Magic 3s have sd855 + 1single camera
Red magic >>> single 24Mp
you put fourth, for what ??!!!!
to make a big hole
I can't be the only who would rather have one good sensor over these 4 trash ones.
Redmi 9 (4G SoC) and Redmi Note 9 (SD720G) will be the last two Redmi 4G smartphones. Starting the 2nd Quarter of 2020, the lineup of Redmi will be as follows:
Redmi 9 (4G)
Redmi Note 9 (SD720G, 4G)
Redmi Note 9 Pro (5G SoC, 5G)
(There could be another 5G phone in this series, Redmi Note 9 5G (5G SoC, 5G) coming soon.)
Redmi K30 Pro Zoom (SD865, 5G);
Redmi K30 Pro (SD865, 5G);
Redmi K30 5G (SD765G, 5G);
Redmi K30 (SD730G, 4G) will be discontinued, replaced by Redmi K30S 5G (5G SoC, 5G), priced lower than K30 5G.
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2020Instead of poor quality cameras they should just give one or two good camera..if they can make one good camera then they can make two or three good cameras at the same time bu they can't so it's cheaper for them to give you four or five craptastic and useless cameras.
i'm sure it will bigger than Redmi 8
redmi 8 was 156mm
so if u make new Redmi 9 bigger than 160mm
u can add 6000mah
like Samsung M30s, M31
159mm + 6000Mah
What happen to small sized redmi?
Redmi Note can be big, Redmi should be small.!
it obvious they will make the screen bigger than Redmi 8
But still with same battery
at least make it 6000mah just like some models of samsung M30s, M31...159mm....6000mah
"On paper, the 6i (...) loses (against Redmi 9) in macro (2MP vs. 5MP)"
They're both exactly 100% useless. The back of Redmi 9 looks hideous btw
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2020The camera is a downgrade. The redmi 8 had one of the best sensors imx363 with dual pixel af. ... moreI had Xiaomi Redmi 8, and back and front camera was (at best) ok, even for 100 euros device.. Redmi 7 had better back camera. But my phone was global (so maybe it did't have that Sony sensor).
