Nobody has been able to make an accurate SpO2 tracker even from the finger, at below €400 (all the crap pulseoximeters on Amazon are that, crap, not accurate).
Garmin and Asus and Fitbit wrist-based are even less accurate SpO2.
Apple doesn't make it's own biomedical sensors, it only does integration and code.
Sure, they will again pay money to FDA to get approved, and lie about all sorts of features and benefits, but accurate the oxygen sensor will NOT be.
The same goes for wrist-based sleep tracking.
Oura is the gold standard: best combination of sensors, best sampling interval and best algos.
But of course, stupid lemmings will buy the Apple product and believe whatever crap their marketing department spouts off as facts.

Fayth, 31 Mar 2020the FDA approved the AKG, can't we trust FDA?Not if you can buy that statement without medical backing.
Not trusting FDA ... everyone makes mistakes now and then even FDA ... If you go for FDA "aproved" faulty EKG measurement therefor do not trust it at all ... go for it if it makes you happy.
[deleted post]Hell yeah, let's have some fun, but only on the condition you don't have COVID-19.
Guess you're bored stiff in lockdown, and got nothing better than to do than SPAM GSMarena.
From now onwards, you had better engage in social virtual distancing - we here at GSMarena do not appreciate your company.

Have you even seen one?
30 dollar honor band 5 do the same for a year.

Seriously, try to look into it more than reading a PR statement or watching an Ad.
Apple watch don't need sleep tracking it already has sleep watch app that is very good I use it for six months and it is doing everything on your sleep including deep sleep percentage and light sleep and restful sleep and sleep goal and three day sleep target and a lot more so apple don't have to put an effort in the sleep app instead the only issue is to improve the battery life and also to able to read video files so we can use YouTube app besides from That it is the best watch far away from the best Garmin fenix 6x solar watch and the sunnto 7 new wtch the the galaxy watch and also the fossil gen 5 that don't have esim and lack of apps

The battery life is the only issue. If Apple can address it, Apple Watch will be the perfect device.
Apple's ECG implementation is the best there is on a watch, by far.
vrvly, 30 Mar 2020Still no temp sensor, how useful it could be now. Microsoft band 2 was with skin temp sensor, ... moreBTW skin temperature is pretty much useless, you wan't body temperature if you want a something useful ... and you can't do that accurately on a smartwatch.
Same goes for EKG, it's so inaccurate it could be downright dangerous to people and bothersome to doctors that have a better things to do than people taking apointements because a watch with 12,5% accuracy told them to do so ...
Still no temp sensor, how useful it could be now. Microsoft band 2 was with skin temp sensor, could be x gen right now, what a shame.

Probably only thing I like about AW is the size and formfactor :D
