I dont trust any kickstartee indiegogo whatever startups..God knows when they will release this device..maybe in 2-3 years...Even the big brand RED scammed their customers..

What do you mean by mid-ranger? Isn't that the same processor that last year smashed SD855+ allegedly, on antutu?

Planet Computers is definitely not a market or segment leader (Even if there is no other known manufacturers on smartphone with hardware keyboard anymore or soon to become anymore (thanks THL)) but it's already their fourth model and they are increasing their quality and performances.

So yes if we compare to HMD which sells 10 different models with the less expensive components they could find on the market then yes, for them that will becomplicated.

But they select their components and work on improvements around them so they have more chance to provide something really good especially because they don't invest on marketing and assembling profit as the E-waste manufacter named above.

Samsung, if you take the S20+, Ultra or Note and you add a keyboard like this, I promise I will instantly buy it!
PS Just make sure that it's 100% IP68 water and dust proof and it has the SD card slot!

The processor is pretty competent, it's not that far off a snap 865 in terms of cpu, adreno gpu tend to always have better numbers than Mali but it's not miles away, I think this would be a great performer tbh

That looks like a really good keyboard! Much better than even other phones with physical keyboards. Reminds me of the old Psion devices.

Future Leader, 31 Mar 2020This device will be good for controlling games..not really. Youd be better of buying something like the black shark 3 with shoulder buttons. This doesnt have any gaming related buttons or joysticks.

A physical keyboard is an additional wear and tear part and causes more electronic waste. Plus, as a European I would want a QWERTZ keyboard.
