I just hope they will use sharper lens for Mate 40 Pro so that they can use the entire sensor area to produce photos that don't look fuzzy when zoomed in.

Huawei kirin SoCs... moreI guess sd865 and exynos990 are better in graphics and have faster 5g speeds as well as higher megapixels than Kirin 990 which also capable of 8k 30fps video recording but Huawei focusing on low light quality photography, closer to DSLR quality

Why today gsmarena and phonearena always making news about DXO ?... Many people knew that dxo scoring system is a mess. Some high end phone got low score, or take very loooong time to get reviewed. Im not sayin p40 pro is bad, im talking dxo in general. Just googling it, many tech site and redditor know that

i will never buy this phone as it doesn't have sd slot nor google services and it's not snapdragon but it certainly is the first phone that has produced better still images than mate 30 pro.(comparing the samples by eyes)
huawei simply aces it each time can't believe this. i wish another company could just copy their stellar cameras. didn't check the video though but damn good on photos nice job.

Huawei kirin SoCs are generally worse than Exynos SoC for gaming. see here

For the heating part. I don't believe samsung is stupid to let their SoC run at 60 degree temp. It might be a software issue.
GSMARENA reviewed the exynos version. They said the camera is very good. Even if you had told that Note 10's photo is better I could take your opinion. But the Note 8, seriously !

I think I have said this earlier. My last flagship was the S7. But now to get the best I have to get the giant screen phone which I don't like. If I go for the smaller one then it's not the best. So, I don't go for the flagship at all.
I very much would like to go with iPhone. But it's a trap. iPhone is only better when used with other Apple products. Once I'm used to the Apple ecosystem I have to choose iPhone even if I don't like it as there is no alternatives.
I'm not a photographer. So, don't use a SLR. To take photos I have my Samsung Digital camera with 18x zoom. That's enough for me.
For gaming I was never into the phone gaming unless I count my childhood time. I'm into PC gaming. My gtx 960 with the i7 does fairly well while playing at 1080P.

AnonD-754814, 31 Mar 2020It's not about believing. I just don't understand why did you do it ? You were so much interes... moreIt was because of several reasons but mainly due to the exynos chip which caused the phone to overheat massively making gaming (Arena of Valor) almost unplayable.
Also I was very sad and dissappointed about the camera quality and I compared S20+ photos with photos taken on my Note 8 and the ones on my Note 8 was actually better and sharper. I took the S20+ photos in broad daylight and still they were not good. I'm here talking about the 64MB shots - they were not good. The normal 12MP binned mode was good but indistinguable from the Note 8 photos.
I did like the display, the awesome stereospeakers and the snappiness of the phone but I don't think it justified the extreme price tag. So out of anger and frustration and went down and returned it and will never purchase an S20 device again. I might try out the Note 20+ if they give Europe their SD865 chip and not the exynos chip.
So mainly I returned the phone due to the inability to play graphic heavy games and the major disappointment of the camera. I was expecting a world changing camera system because that was what Samsung promised but the camera is not any different from the quality you get from the S10-series.

Edit: I also forget to mention 1 thing. Thanks to Steve. While replying to his comment It just got into my mind.
Another reason the Note 10+ does better macro shot is because of the variable aperture. The narrower opening helps it to focus better.
