Its the shame they use just 70% of the sensor, bragging without shame about its size, but even with its 9mp binned they put to shame regular 12mp or nonabayer 108mp.
Its like alpha camera in smartphone world, in all FOVs I may add.

So, It was your stupidity that you bought the regular mi note 10 and expected the performance of Note 10 pro

The honor 20/pro has a macro too if you want a budget flagship (specs state it is a flagship from yesteryear).
no google services, dont care about camara score.
Emeline Shaw, 31 Mar 2020Okay thanks:) But do you know which phones would be the best for macro photography? Please onl... moreAccording to my knowledge there is no flagship with a macro camera. Some midrange devices has macro camera. But most of them 2MP, some might have 5MP.
Ask Nick. He might know if there is any real-flagship with macro camera.
I think the answer will be negative.
Anonymous, 31 Mar 2020You think a bigger sensor equals poorer macro? Really ?
It is the lens doing the macro, the z... moreI think our subject was on main sensor macro. So, the focal length is fixed at 24-26mm. Also there're limitations with how modified you can make the lens on Smartphone.
So, I guess there is only one area left. Sensor size. Bigger sensor struggles to focus at close range. So, sensor size matters for Macro photography.

1. Why did you return the S20+ ?
2. You were curious about S20 ultra and P40 pro then why did you buy the S20+ ?
3. If I remembered it correctly you asked Nick Tagataka about his advice on which phone is
better. Then just after two days you said in a article that you returned your S20+
because it is worse. When did you buy the S20+ ? If you bought it earlier then why
would you ask Nick's advice without even mentioning to Nick that you have the S20+ ?

I'm not surprised Huawei do Stella jobs on their smartphone cameras . Funny how Samsung hasn't hit the dxomark yet lol wonder why.

After buying two phones based on DxOMArk's recomendations, I have my grave doubts about their impartiality.
I bought the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 and the camera is nowhere near as good as the specs, or the DxOMark review. Overall, the iPhone and even the Pixel are better balanced and even Samsung's Note 10 is better.
The Chinese seem to be buying reviews, usually in sites in poorer countries, but I have stopped trusting DxOMark now.

Keeping the sun at different angle then using different color subjects at different light condition in the same frame. May be it was unintentional but I noticed that. So I said that.

This way is better for getting their real personal liking.

The user "Morsel" just wrote me that it's the bigger sensor in P40 Pro and Ultra that makes macro shots look less sharp and blurry.
You are saying it has a different cause?
