I've never used gms to make any payments.I've used many Google-play phones though.I'm a Kenyan. I got other options like M-pesa. I'm not into online banking, I don't even trust it. When it comes to owning a phone, gms is of zero-consideration to me. I'm an advanced android user and have used bare Android osses without gms, hms or any other kind. For me my greatest consideration in buying a device is hardware capabilities. Been using huawei p40 pro and it's blazing fast to say the least. I'm not even a gamer and hate apps like gms, Facebook, whatsapp etc due to privacy issues. So for me Huawei did it with hms.

First of all guys, huawei will stay alive. The 60% of total sales come from China, where its market share is 40%. As for the rest of the world, it needs at least 2 years to be able to provide a new os. It's funny that people make assumptions by looking only at the present. And yes Google should be worried and it's worried. Google wants to keep working with huawei. If huawei succeed and create a new ecosystem who says that all the Chinese companies won't do the same or won't join huawei? If someone can do it then it's definitely huawei.

IMHO what's most missing is Google play games service. You ain't be able to make purchases just with 1-2 taps.

Lower prices and people will defo go for huawei phones again. Customers can live with workarounds IF the phone is great and cheaper than the competition. Why should customers go for huawei if a samsung,oneplus,apple,xiaomi offers the same, with the same price-tag, plus all gapps? HTC made the same mistake without any ban. There is a time you HAVE to lower prices of your wares...

OTH put Gapps on the phone and it will be one of the best phones ever.

They even went out and said how much the US ban hurts their sales and still they bump up the prices - I would say their sales is 50% dependent on themselves as well.
If it was me I would sell the phones for half of the price on the European market. Even if that meant I would loose money in the short term it would be beneficial in the long run.

n i do nt even use gms ever since the day i started using my phone
n soon a year after that i bought another 3 zte nubia phones which i bought them all in china without a gms in any of the phone models
n the app center in all my phones have so many other apps of high
quality n that was 2 years ago n soon almost apps will be available
they have almost all the alternatives to your favourite apps 2 years
ago n in a matter of time will have almost everything u ll ever need

If Huawei can bring the taste of BlackBerry back, BIS and it's own Huawei app. There will be unnecessary need for Google and its unsecured Android

So there you have it
