Anonymous, 01 Apr 2020All those people still using iPhone 5 and the like, who really need to upgrade.......and those with iPhone 6 or 6s. Hopefully this upcoming announcement won't be delayed yet again. But starting production on late April may be too soon. I'm betting on early May instead.

I don’t understand why this is referred as s successor to the iPhone SE as it’s clearly not. If it’s going to be the same 4.7” and 5.5” (9 and 9 Plus) screen with the same design as the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus then this phone is clearly the successor of the iPhone 8 series.
The SE’s successor would be a compact phone with thin bezels, around the size of the iPhone 8 housing a 5.1” screen. Which I don’t expect to be revealed.

The storage will be the key if its 32gb people wouldn't bother buying it. Its purely for the tight budget conscious. Apple simply doesn't want tk shift the other models from its sales

Right now, the cheapest iPhone, the iPhone 8 already lacks the headphone jack. As long as Apple continues bundling lightning earbuds with each iPhone, people don’t care. Majority of people will simply use what’s included in the box.
It’s a problem with Android because more and more Android handsets don’t include earbuds in the box.

But if this 9 gets iPhone 11's main camera just like SE got 6s' camera, then it will be a great deal indeed.
