Those heatpipes should keep the heat away from the battery, i think something spread over a large area would have been better. But then they do have an impressive cooling fan accessory.

I am gonna guess the metal frame is ragequit proof? The only reason I see it possibly being remotely necessary. Otherwise it's just a PITA to repair for the sake of looks.
