Usually, when a manufacturer gets enough support from users they tend to develop the new one faster..The main challenge is keeping the price same as before and they do it by ordering lots of supplies

I could understand if it is a $150 smartwatch or something but this is just a cheap band. Just give the old one to your kids and buy a new one for you.

Been waiting for this. Love the old one but I need nfc for payment so I going to buy this if it is available in my country considering this situation.

thats why i never will by a wearable device from any brand anymore...phones, ok, they can do the new version every 6, 8 months (like Redmi Note line) but wearables i think is wrong make a new version early than 12 months, why they just kepp pushing updates to the last one and do support it for more time?

Like, this strategy only show Xiaomi is only intressed in sell, nothing more...i brought my Mi Band 3 last year, July 2019, even that same year they launch the Mi Band 4, and i get pi**d off cause it a big improvement over Mi Band 3 at around same price.

Like me, i think a lot of users feel the same, but thats whats wrong with the wearable market: they do things very quick, and dont do support for old stuff, make people's money useless after some months.

So, for me the acquision of wearables is over, its a "easy money" market for the players, and its a even bigger battle than smartphones itself those days.
