All of this for only a fraction of the price a super computer would actually cost.
You just need a very good understanding of how hardware and software work.

NotAnOpinion, 02 Apr 2020$2700+ heatspacers that will get smashed by the next-gen consoles for under $499. Sad!Well, then there are console limitations such as frame rates. If I remember correctly, only 120 Hz in best possible scenario? No, that won't cut it in the long run... And the current consoles, at least I couldn't deal with 60 Hz anymore. Just looks so damn slow and eye-straining.

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2020when is Nvidia Ampere ( RTX 3000 series) coming???? anyone knows??I heard some rumors about September or something like that. I'd like to upgrade my non-Super 2080, probably going for a 3080 Ti next. Or just buy a cheap, used 2080 Ti when new ones are released. That card should still be good for a year or two. Nobody wants to sell their 2080 Ti now, at least not for a good price. :D

All this with a 5 year old 1080Ti, pathetic consoles struggle with 30fps.

Sad!But they are far more portable and dependable than consoles, because laptops has built-in screens and you can use them for purposes other than gaming. Consoles are only for games and still need a TV screen to play, except the Switch.

That gt70 i bought 6y6m years ago for a 1600eur keeps looking better and better. An mxm 1070 costs about 450eur shipped. So for about 2000eur i can have a fairly high end gaming laptop for 10 or so years?
