Good for environment, good for quick replacements, good for quick upgrades. Profit is an added side benefit. I like this thing about Apple. I like this strategy and want many industries to follow on their production too!
My opinion, this phone does look ugly. Really ugly for 2020. The saving grace is the flagship chipset, but I would rather go for a similarly priced Android with SD855 at least, or spend more and buy the iPhone 11. iPhone 9/SE 2 is just some mock-up device. Many people have shifted towards modern-looking devices. The iPhone 9/SE is not one of them.
If you really want a proper iPhone sorry to say but I can only recommend an iPhone XR or better.
I'm definitely gonna get it if it has less bezel size. Thanks for the small size but bezels has to be less than what iPhone 8 had. And OIS on rear camera.

I opted for s10e despite exynos just because it is smaller and has a 3.5mm jack. I would only buy one this year if I see a small phone with flagship grade hardware.
The A13 chipset combined with a low resolution 750 x 1334 screen should see very fast screen performance.

Where ever you can find such a statement, it is probably meant relative to other iPhones: compared to the other iPhone lineup, this one can be considered entry level (due to the lack of even slower iPhones). Compared to Android phones however, it becomes apparent it is more oriented in the midrange category.
As others have already called out, the chipset will be way too powerful for the phone to be considered "entry level", whether it's the A12 or the A13. One of it's direct counterparts would be the upcoming Pixel 4a.
Shady69, 06 Apr 2020entry level phone with a 400$ price tag? nice joke there.Entry level phones run qualcom 200 series chips or worse. Your statement is invalid.
Anonymous, 06 Apr 2020Useless phone. Just get any decent android phone with better specs and enjoy.Useless comment. Just get any decent post with better content and enjoy.
L.O.R.D, 06 Apr 2020I don't want to see that ultra common glass back. Make it metal please, AppleMetal means no wireless charging; no thanks. I can keep a phone intact.

Mediatek sux, 06 Apr 2020If it actually has an a13, there is nothing else more powerful at any price.I don't think they'll put the A13. If they do though, they're going to sell a lot of these.
Can't believe that idiotic "iPhone 9" moniker is still sticking out its ugly head. It's like a recurring cancer...

Its the magic of Apple (i'm a lifelong Android user).
The outdated tooling and machinery which exists for the iPhone 8 & 8+ production lines will, with minimal effort (A13 inplace of A11 & a GB extra ram lol) keep doing what it used to, and people for whom an $800+ iPhone was out of reach will suddenly have the aspirational product (thanks to genius product placement & Apple marketing over the years) within or just a minor push-up from their budget.
This iPhone will pull-in no less than HUNDREDS of Millions of $ for Apple if not a Billion.
